  • Patent number: 7988352
Abstract: The present invention discloses an improved probe structure, which is installed in the body of an infrared clinical thermometer and comprises a plastic hollow casing having an opening; a curved block annularly arranged inside the opening; a hollow sleeve arranged inside the casing and along the perimeter of the opening; a temperature sensor arranged inside sleeve and below the curved block; a support element arranged inside the sleeve and supporting the temperature sensor; and a thermal insulation ring encircling the temperature sensor and pressing against the inner wall of the sleeve. The thermal insulation ring has an outer diameter larger than a width of the temperature sensor, and an air gap is thus formed between the temperature sensor and the inner wall of the sleeve; the top of the thermal insulation ring has an altitude higher than the top of the temperature sensor, and another air gap is thus formed between the temperature sensor and the curved block.

  • Publication number: 20070206657
Abstract: The present invention discloses an improved probe structure, which comprises: a casing having an opening; a sleeve arranged inside the casing and around the opening; a temperature sensor installed inside the sleeve; a curved solid circularly arranged along the inner rim of the opening and above the temperature sensor. Owing to the curved solid, the detection angle can be reduced, and the detected temperature is closer to the eardrum temperature; further, the gap between the casing and the temperature sensor can be decreased, and the volume of the probe structure can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070071066
Abstract: The present invention discloses an infrared clinical thermometer device, wherein the ear thermometer casing has at least three light indicators; according to the measured temperature value, the microprocessor inside the casing generates a control signal and outputs the control signal to one of the light indicators; the control signal enables the light indicator to emit light to indicate to the user the state of the measured body temperature. In the present invention, light of different colors are used to indicate to the user the state of the measured body temperature; thus, the user can learn whether the body temperature is in the health state or in a fever state without watching the display but directly from the color of the emitted light; therefore, the operational convenience is greatly promoted.

  • Publication number: 20070019703
Abstract: An ear thermometer protection lid structure is proposed, in which a lid is disposed on a sensing end of an ear thermometer. When the ear thermometer is used to measure the temperature, the lid is taken off and sleeved onto a grasp end of the ear thermometer to increase the length of the grasp end. The grasp portion of the ear thermometer can thus be lengthened to facilitate grasping and prevent the protection lid from being lost. Moreover, the length of the handle portion can be shortened during manufacturing to lower the cost, and the volume of the ear thermometer can be shrunk to facilitate portability.
