    Abstract: The invention relates to an applicator for the application of liquid or pasty media, containing a housing for receiving a dosing unit and an adapter for fastening a container, for the medium to be applied, to the applicator; a dose setting means; a lever for the application of the apportioned amount, the lever interacting mechanically with the dosing unit and with the dose setting means. The lever is mounted moveably at its proximal end within the housing. The distal end of the lever spreads apart from the housing, with the distance of the distal end of the lever from the housing being dependent on the dose set.
