  • Patent number: 10978079
Abstract: A method for encoding an input audio stream including the steps of obtaining a first playback stream presentation of the input audio stream intended for reproduction on a first audio reproduction system, obtaining a second playback stream presentation of the input audio stream intended for reproduction on a second audio reproduction system, determining a set of transform parameters suitable for transforming an intermediate playback stream presentation to an approximation of the second playback stream presentation, wherein the transform parameters are determined by minimization of a measure of a difference between the approximation of the second playback stream presentation and the second playback stream presentation, and encoding the first playback stream presentation and the set of transform parameters for transmission to a decoder.

  • Patent number: 10803481
Abstract: An embodiment may involve receiving input information related to an offered product or service, two or more layouts of a print advertisement for the offered product or service, demographics of potential buyers of the offered product or service, and online behavior of the potential buyers. The information may be normalized into a predefined schema for a machine-learning-based recommendation engine operated by a computing device. The embodiment may further involve determining respective selections of the two or more layouts for the potential buyers. The machine-learning-based recommendation engine may select a layout for a potential buyer based on the offered product or service, content and organization of the layout, demographics of the potential buyer, and online behavior of the potential buyer. The embodiment may also involve transmitting, to a printing system, one or more output files representing the offered product or service, the layout, and the potential buyer.

  • Patent number: 5769073
Abstract: A device for dispensing doses of powdered material comprises a housing which houses a cylindrical container. The container has a number of helically arranged compartments each of which contains a respective dose of powdered material. In order to dispense the material from a compartment, that compartment is moved into registry with an airway in the device by means of an indexing mechanism, and the user sucks on a mouthpiece of the housing, which mouthpiece communicates with an air inlet via the airway. The flow of air through the airway ejects the dose of material. The container can constitute a replaceable cartridge. The device is particularly suitable for use as an inhaler for dispensing powdered medicament.
