  • Patent number: 8899297
Abstract: A rolling door having a door leaf and guides arranged on both sides, each of which includes a vertical portion and a spiral portion, wherein the door leaf is received in the spiral portions in the form of non-contacting winding layers when the rolling door is in the opened condition. A drive mechanism for operating the rolling door has a motor, a drive shaft and drive organs. The drive organs are arranged on both sides of the door leaf and the drive shaft establishes a driving connection between the drive organs. In one embodiment, the drive shaft is arranged in the central area of the spiral portions of the guides of both sides and extends from one side of the door to the other. Hereby a rolling door is obtained whose structural height in the area of the door lintel is reduced while maintaining a small installation depth.

  • Patent number: 7913739
Abstract: A high-speed industrial roller door includes a door leaf that is guided in lateral guides and a drive that acts on the door leaf to displace the latter from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. The door leaf is held in the open position so that adjacent areas of the door leaf are not in contact with one another, in a spiral section of the lateral guides located in the vicinity of the door lintel. The roller door also includes a weight compensation device. The drive has two extension arms that are coupled via joints to the lintel end of the door leaf, said arms being situated at a distance from one another across the door width and being synchronously pivoted about a pivoting axis in a central area of the spiral section. The distance between the coupling points of the extension arms on the door leaf and the pivoting axis of the extension arms can be varied.

  • Publication number: 20110030278
Abstract: The invention relates to a lifting door assembly comprising a lifting door, in particular a fast-moving industrial door, having a door leaf which in the closed condition of the lifting door covers a door aperture, and a door lintel sealing device disposed in the area of a door lintel and mounted so as to produce a sealing effect between the door leaf and the door lintel in a sealing position when the lifting door is in the closed condition. The lifting door assembly is characterized in that the door leaf is guided laterally such that in the open position, it is wound free of contact in the area of a door lintel, and in that in the sealing position, the door lintel sealing device rests on a horizontal lateral edge surface of the door leaf adjacent the door lintel. The invention further relates to such a door lintel sealing device. The invention allows to improve a lifting door assembly such that particularly reliable sealing may be obtained with it in the area of the door lintel.

  • Patent number: 7798198
Abstract: A weight compensation device for a lifting door, includes a spring element and a tensile element, which can be wound onto or unwound from a winding device in such a way that the spring element achieves its greatest pre-tension when the door leaf is in the closed position and is essentially tension-free when the door leaf is in the open position. The tensile element is narrower at the end facing the winding device than at the end facing the spring element and the winding device includes a guide device, which is used to wind the tensile element in such a way that the wound layers lie adjacent to one another without making contact. To achieve this, the guide faces around the perimeter of the guide device have a continuously increasing radius in the winding direction. This enables the provision of a weight compensation device that achieves the torques required for effective weight compensation by means of a simple construction.

  • Publication number: 20080295411
Abstract: The invention relates to a weight compensation device (6) for a lifting door (1), comprising a spring element (61) and a tensile element (62), which can be wound onto or unwound from a winding device in such a way that the spring element (61) achieves its greatest pre-tension when the door leaf (2) is in the closed position and is essentially tension-free when the door leaf (2) is in the open position. According to the invention, the tensile element (62) is narrower at the end facing the winding device than at the end facing the spring element (61) and the winding device comprises a guide device (63), which is used to wind the tensile element (62) in such a way that the wound layers lie adjacent to one another without making contact. To achieve this, the guide faces around the perimeter of the guide device (63) have a continuously increasing radius in the winding direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a high-speed industrial roller door (1) comprising a door leaf (2) that is guided in lateral guides (4) and a drive that acts on the door leaf (2) to displace the latter from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. According to the invention, the door leaf (2) is held in the open position so that adjacent areas of the door leaf (2) are not in contact with one another, in a spiral section (42) of the lateral guides (4) located in the vicinity of the door lintel. The roller door also comprises a weight compensation device (6). The drive has two extension aims (54) that are coupled via joints to the lintel end of the door leaf (2), said aims (54) being situated at a distance from one another across the door width and being synchronously pivoted about a pivoting axis in a central area of the spiral section (42). The distance between the coupling points (543) of the extension arms (54) on the door leaf (2) and the pivoting axis of the extension arms (54) can be varied.
