The dental preparation may comprise an antimicrobial agent. The dental preparation may be useful in the treatment of periodontal disease or in the treatment of injuries in the periodontium and oral mucosa. Methods of preparing the dental preparations, fibers thereof, and related compositions thereto, are also disclosed.
