  • Publication number: 20240272414
Abstract: The presently claimed and described technology provides an apparatus (500, 1000A, 1000B) configured to adjustably position a focal location (14) of a first instrument (12) of a first body (10, 20, 60) with respect to a target location (44, 54) of a second instrument (42, 42H, 42U, 52) of a second body (40, 50). The apparatus further includes a third body (30), a first joint (210), and a second joint (310). The first joint is configured to adjustably linearly position the first body with respect to the third body along a first axis (A2) and thereby perform a first adjustment and is further configured to adjustably rotatably position the first body with respect to the third body about the first axis (A2) and thereby perform a second adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20240210297
Abstract: Techniques for oblique illumination of samples in microscopy imaging are presented. The sample may be obliquely illuminated by directing light from a light emitter toward a sample at an oblique angle, rather than directly along the optical axis of an imaging device. The oblique angle may be created using an aperture mask with an aperture that is not coaxial with the optical axis of the imaging device. The oblique angle may also be created using a light emitter and collector lens that are not coaxial with the optical axis of the imaging device, such that the condenser lens directs the light toward the sample. Images obtained using the oblique illumination provide improved contrast of translucent particles and may have an embossed, three-dimensional appearance.

  • Publication number: 20240044931
Abstract: A biological analyzer system includes a biological analyzer, a fluid routing system, and a first linear peristaltic pump. The biological analyzer is configured to analyze a biological sample. The fluid routing system is configured to direct the biological sample into the biological analyzer. The first linear peristaltic pump is configured to move the biological sample in the fluid routing system. The first linear peristaltic pump includes a first hollow flexible tubing, a first actuation assembly, and a first tubing compression member. The first hollow flexible tubing extends along a first longitudinal axis. The first hollow flexible tubing is in fluid communication with the fluid routing system. The first tubing compression member is configured to move relative to the first hollow flexible tubing along a predetermined path in response to an input from the first actuation assembly to advance fluid within the first hollow flexible tubing along the first longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 11287600
Abstract: Presented is a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for reducing error. The apparatus includes a rotatable element having a plurality of spaced light modifying ports located at set positions in the rotatable element, the rotatable element rotatable about an axis. The apparatus further includes a drive engagedly coupled to the rotatable element to rotate the rotatable element, wherein one periodic cycle of the rotatable element is an integer number of periodic cycles of the drive.
