Abstract: The invention relates to a microencapsulated insecticidal composition containing isopropyl (2E,4E)-3,7,11-trimethyl-11-methoxy-2,4-dodecaidenoate which comprises 45-95% by weight of isopropyl (2E,4E)-3,7,11-trimethyl-11-methoxy-2,4-dodecadenoate as active ingredient, 1-15% by weight of butyl hydroxy toluene and 5-40% by weight of activated charcoal, in the form of powdery microcapsules having a grain size of 1-300 .mu.m and coated with a hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose phthalate or cellulose acetate phthalate polymer.The advantage of the microencapsulated insectidical composition according to the present invention resides in the increased stability.

Abstract: The invention refers to a powder mixture having a high propylene glycol content and a process for the preparation thereof. The powder mixture consists of 25 to 75 percent by weight of propylene glycol and 75 to 25 percent by weight of magnesium oxide and/or magnesium peroxide and/or magnesium carbonate as a solid carrier(s). The powder mixture can be treated as a solid powder and it does not deliquesce in the air even when stored for a long time. The mixture can be used as solid propylene glycol in dietetic products for calf, piglet and lamb, in pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of ketosis and in other pharmaceutical compositions for veterinary use.

Abstract: The invention relates to new cycloalkane derivatives, a process for the preparation thereof and compositions--particularly feed additives and animal feeds--containing the same.The new compounds of the present invention correspond to the general formula I ##STR1## wherein n is 3, 4, 5 or 6;R denotes a phenyl group optionally carrying one or more substituent/s/ selected from the group consisting of halogen, lower alkoxy and lower alkyl;R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent hydrogen or form together a valence bond;R.sup.3 represents lower alkoxy or a phenyl optionally substituted by one or more C.sub.1-12 alkoxy.The fodder additives and fodders according to the invention contain as active ingredient an amount of 1 ppm to 85% by weight of a compound of the general formula I in admixture with inert solid or liquid carriers or diluents and can be used to advantage in animal husbandry.
