Abstract: A packaging device including bumps and a method of manufacturing the packaging device are presented. In the method of manufacturing a packaging device, a dielectric layer that covers a packaging base is formed and a lower layer is formed over a packaging base including first and second connecting pads. A plurality of dummy bumps that overlaps with the dielectric layer is formed. A sealing pattern that covers the dummy bumps, filling areas between the dummy bumps, is formed. A lower layer pattern in which the plurality of dummy bumps have been disposed is formed by removing portions of the lower layer that are exposed and do not overlap with the sealing pattern.

Abstract: One embodiment discloses a DC-DC converter which, in a solar-related energy storage system, cuts-off the over-discharging of a battery, and a control method thereof. Specifically, disclosed are a DC-DC converter which protects a battery by appropriately switching between a sleep mode which minimizes battery consumption by maintaining only minimized functions and a cut-off mode which prevents the battery from over-discharging by physically cutting off a circuit connected to the battery, and a control method thereof. Also, an embodiment discloses a DC-DC converter or reverse wiring protection device for between a solar panel and a battery.

Abstract: A server according to an embodiment includes a processor configured to receive a friend add request for a target account from a user terminal accessed with a user account; based on one of the user account and the target account being a protected account, transmit an approval request for the friend add request to a protector account connected to the protected account; and based on receiving a reply to the approval request from the protector terminal, add the target account to a friend list of the user account.

Abstract: A display characteristic control method provides an on-screen display (OSD) of display characteristics values automatically controlled according to ambient illuminance levels, to enable user recognition and confirmation of current values. A display apparatus adopting the method includes a display module for displaying a video signal; an illuminance sensor for detecting a level of ambient illuminance; a system controller for adjusting, based on the detected ambient illuminance, at least one display characteristic of the display module and for generating a set of control values corresponding to the adjusted at least one display characteristic; a display characteristic controller for controlling the display module using the adjusted at least one display characteristic; and an OSD generator for generating OSD data for display on a display screen together with the video signal, the displayed OSD data corresponding to the display characteristic control values of the adjusted at least one display characteristic.

Abstract: An image display device is provided. A receiver receives a program, and a storage unit stores the received program. A signal processor processes the stored program so that the program is displayed. An interface unit is used to receive a control command. A controller performs a control operation such that a first mode for editing a selected portion of a displayed program is performed according to a first signal of the interface unit, and a second mode for displaying an edited program is performed according to a second signal of the interface unit during the performing of the first mode.
