A receiver includes a human body communication unit to receive broadcast signal; a channel setting unit to retrieve the broadcast channel to be connected; a broadcast processing unit to control the human body communication unit to receive the broadcast signal; and a broadcast data processing unit to generate broadcast data. A method for transmitting a broadcast signal includes detecting and setting the available broadcast channel to be connected; generating the broadcast signal; and broadcasting the broadcast signal via the broadcast channel. A method for receiving broadcast signal includes receiving, retrieving, and setting the broadcast channel; receiving the broadcast signal; and generating broadcast data.
