  • Publication number: 20180022420
Abstract: A method for installing a gantry tower crane for use in cargo tank checking is provided. By using this method, a tower crane can be installed rapidly since tower units are lowered when assembling the tower units, the time required to install two prefabricated towers can be reduced, and all zones of the cargo tanks can be checked as baskets, and pedestrian overpasses can be installed.

  • Publication number: 20170349419
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gantry tower crane for inspecting a cargo hold, comprising: two running rails which are installed to be spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the cargo hold; two prefabricated towers, each of which are installed to be able to move along respective running rails; and a basket which is installed to be able to move up and down along the prefabricated towers. Thus, as the basket installed in the prefabricated towers is installed to have a variable length and to be rotatable, it is possible to inspect both wall surfaces and a ceiling of the cargo hold, and to inspect the wall surfaces while moving along an overpass. Also, it is possible to obtain an effect of being able to perform inspection more precisely in a state where an operator comes closer to the wall surfaces by extending an auxiliary foothold of the overpass.

  • Patent number: 6622580
Abstract: A backlash-free speed reducing device includes a drive unit, a rotary unit, and a power output unit. The drive unit consists of a drive motor having a drive shaft. A first power transmission cable is wound around the drive shaft. The rotary unit has two first cylinders, with the first transmission cable fixed to the external surface of the first cylinders at opposite ends thereof and wound around or unwound from the first cylinders in response to a rotation of the drive shaft. Each of the first cylinders is concentrically fitted over a rotating shaft such that the first cylinders are linearly movable along the rotating shafts in opposite directions. A second power transmission cable is fixed to the external surfaces of the rotating shafts of the two first cylinders at opposite ends thereof. The power output unit has a second cylinder, with the second transmission cable wound around the second cylinder.
