Abstract: An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus and a method of controlling the same are provided. The ultrasound diagnosis apparatus includes an ultrasound probe configured to transmit an ultrasound signal to an object and receive an ultrasound echo signal from the object to form a reception signal; a body configured to receive the reception signal from the ultrasound probe and process the reception signal; an impedance matching circuit configured to match an impedance of the ultrasound probe with an impedance of the body; and a controller configured to control the impedance matching circuit to operate as at least one filter that passes or rejects a signal of a specific frequency band, based on the impedance of the ultrasound probe, the impedance of the body, and relevant frequency characteristics of the reception signal.
