    Abstract: A modular structure for a prefabricated building includes prefabricated modules connected by dowel type fasteners. The fasteners include a dowel element with a diverging frustum of cone sectors which form heads at each end of the dowel and set screw fasteners which have a frustum of the cone front end which bears on the frustum portion of the dowel. The dowel fits in opposing holes in the panel edges and the set screws are inserted in blind holes which lead into the dowel receiving holes.
