    Abstract: There is disclosed a novel high torque fastener head for screwdriver type fasteners wherein the head has formed therein an arcuate slot transverse to and intersecting the longitudinal axis of the fastener. The shape of the slot is such as to avoid damage to the head when torquing or drive forces are applied by a driving implement.
