Abstract: A crown-type metal cap for sealing the mouth of a preferably aluminum metal bottle, the cap being formed by a laminar part of circular plan form, including an inner face and an outer face and provided peripherally with a closure skirt and, on the inner face, with a closure gasket including a peripheral lip. The cross-section of the peripheral lip is formed by a convex arc having at least one radius of curvature, adjacent to the closure skirt, the lip also including a side opposite the closing skirt, which can be a straight side or a curved side having a radius of curvature greater than that of the convex arc.

Abstract: A crown metal cap comfortable for opening by turning or with a bottle opener. The crown metal cap before folding, has a bell-shaped closure flange with a plurality of intercalated protrusions and depressions, the protrusions have a smaller width than the width of the depressions, and each depression has on its outer edge a convex fold; such that when closing the closure flange is folded over the mouth of the bottle, each protrusion bifurcates into a pair of minor protrusions that acquire a curved shape separated by a central depression that takes a similar form within a spheroid, forming a flange surface comfortable to touch to facilitate manual opening by turning; whereas the convex fold of each depression prevents the collapse of the outer edge of the depression to form a bell-shaped opening edge for easy opening of the crown metal cap with the bottle opener.

Abstract: A cap, which can be attached to a container having an annular opening, includes a top wall and an annular skirt portion. The top wall includes an inner surface and rigid sealing members which seal an inner and outer edge of the opening through the engagement of first and second rigid members with edges of the opening and which exert a force on the container to cause the container to attach in a proper position. The annular skirt portion, disposed along an outer circumference of the top wall and extending downwards, includes internal threads configured to seal the cap onto the container, longitudinal ribs for increasing the friction on the annular skirt portion, and a pilfer band.
