  • Patent number: 8001818
Abstract: A clutch mechanism permits a pulling movement to be transferred or not to the bolt of a lock when turning the internal or external handles attached to separate square-section shafts belonging to clutch elements and which can have independent rotation or they can do so integrally. A first clutch element connected to the outside handle possesses a prismatic projection with a radial orifice into which fits a pulling pin assisted by a spring and which is able to be displaced in order to be introduced into a slot of a second clutch element. The movement is controlled by a motor with a worm-screw linked to a spring which can displace a thruster rocker arm which makes contact with the pulling pin. The mechanism also includes an emergency device having a rod and another spring linked to the thruster rocker arm.

  • Patent number: 6845642
Abstract: This mechanism is intended for being located in the inner escutcheon of the lock and its purpose is to minimize the forces transmitted, thereby preventing premature wear, as well as being able to be adaptable to any lock. Its structure permits to minimize the turning of the handle or outer operating knob under no load. The outer escutcheon (3) holds the key reader (4) and an outer knob (5) while the inner escutcheon (6) contains the electronic control circuit (7) powered by batteries (8), the clutch mechanism (9) and an inner operating knob (10). Exiting from the clutch mechanism (9) are two concentric shafts (21, 26), one of which acts on the tumbler (2) of the lock and the other (26) which rotates freely in its interior and to which the outer knob (5) is connected. A validated key activates an electric motor (51) or similar which displaces a collar (28) causing the clutch element (27) to bring both concentric shafts (21, 26) together temporarily, forming a single unit and permitting the opening of the lock.

  • Patent number: 6427505
Abstract: It is fitted in the inner escutcheon and is able to be adapted to any lock and in left- and right-handed doors. Once the lock has been opened, after a certain length of time it becomes locked again even though the handle has not been turned. It includes two inner (12) and outer (11) square bars in prolongation, connected to individual tumblers (21, 22) and bearing the operating handles. Both tumblers (21, 22) have a relative angular displacement, turning simultaneously, after the release of a displaceable piece (23) or latch, introduced into a groove (214) of the outer tumbler (21), the latch (23) being assisted by a spring (30). The latch (23) is displaceable from the inside by means of rocker arms (24, 25) operated by lugs (224, 225) of the inner tumbler (22), projecting from the groove (214). From the outside, a reducer motor (40) acts on an endless screw (401), which displaces the spring (30) connected to the latch (23) through a certain angle in order to release it.
