Abstract: A set of stabilizer aligners includes an upper stabilizer aligner for an upper dental arch of a patient and a lower stabilizer aligner for a lower dental arch of the patient. The upper stabilizer aligner comprises a first set of cavities that conform to a dentition of the upper dental arch and a first set of stabilizing features. The lower stabilizer aligner comprises a second set of cavities that conform to a dentition of the lower dental arch and a second set of stabilizing features. Stabilizing features in the second set of stabilizing features are configured to contact opposing stabilizing features in the first set of stabilizing features. The upper stabilizer aligner and the lower stabilizer aligner prevent jaw movement of the patient while the upper stabilizer aligner is worn on the upper dental arch, the lower stabilizer aligner is worn on the lower dental arch, and the upper stabilizer aligner is engaged with the lower stabilizer aligner.

  • Patent number: 11331166
Abstract: Embodiments relate to aligners that are capable of immobilizing a patient's jaw after orthognathic surgery while also applying forces to reposition a patient's teeth. In embodiments, a processor determines, for a treatment stage, a dentition for an upper dental arch and a lower dental arch. The processor applies one or more stabilizing features to the upper dental arch and the lower dental arch. The processor determines whether the one or more stabilizing features will prevent jaw movement while the upper dental arch is engaged with the lower dental arch. Responsive to a determination that the one or more stabilizing features will prevent the jaw movement, the processor stores a first digital model comprising the dentition for the upper arch and the one or more stabilizing features for the upper arch and stores a second digital model comprising the planned dentition for the lower arch and the one or more stabilizing features for the lower arch for each increment of treatment.

  • Publication number: 20170335275
Abstract: A method for leaching secondary and primary sulphides of copper in a ferrous chloride medium with iron-oxidising bacteria adapted from the crushing of the mineral from the mine, includes steps of: mixing the mineral from the crushing with concentrated sulphuric acid; transporting the material mixed with sulphuric acid by means of a belt; adding a liquid leaching solution at an intermediate point during transport on the belt, the solution consisting of: iron (II) sulphate to reduce the redox potential of the solution-mineral mixture to values less than 550 mV Ag/AgCl; iron (III) sulphate; bacteria and archaea of the mesophile- and thermophile-type belonging to the genera Acidithiobacillus, Leptospirillum and Sulfulobos; and sodium chloride to produce a chlorinated environment in solutions. The method also comprises the subsequent steps of: heaping the material on heap pads; during the resting step, injecting air warmed by a liquid/air exchange system; and leaching the heaped material.

  • Patent number: 6295816
Abstract: An apparatus (11) for controlling the peak pressure in the combustion chamber (46) of a turbo-charged diesel locomotive engine (12). A pressure relief valve (56) is disposed in the compressor discharge downstream of the turbo-charger (18). The relief valve (56) is operable to release a selected amount (58) of the compressed air (24) produced by the compressor section (20) of turbo-charger (18). The actuation of valve (56) may be a function of the pressure of the compressed air (24), and/or a manifold air temperature signal (52) and a fuel injection timing signal (40). An actuator (60) attached to valve (56) is responsive to a valve position signal (62) generated by a controller (38) having the appropriate inputs and programmed logic capability.
