    Abstract: A method and apparatus for actuating a push-to-walk button wherein a force is received upon a pedal. The force received upon the pedal is then mechanically conveyed to a first cam and applied to the first cam is substantially tangential manner. In response, the first cam rotates and causes a force to be applied to a second cam in order to cause the second cam to impart a force on the push-to-walk button.
