Publication number: 20240290490Abstract: A decision system includes a dynamic biomedical graph configured to provide multiple functions. Through dynamic variation of the biomedical graph structure a more optimal segregation of a diverse set of inputs can be identified. A decision process by which a conclusion is reached can be viewed as a path through the biomedical graph. In contrast with a typical “black box” neural network, this approach clarifies how and why a particular conclusion was reached. Such clarification can lead to identification of new and/or unexpected relationships between input data and resulting conclusions, and also provide confidence that the conclusion was based on a sensible decision process. The decision system is applied, as an example, to medical decisions made in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2024Publication date: August 29, 2024Inventor: Juan Carlos RIVEIRO INSUA

Publication number: 20240087729Abstract: A dynamic user interface is configured to generate two types of information that may be generated by sophisticated computer systems such as expert systems and/or artificial intelligence. These types and include a “what if” prediction that illustrates probable outcomes from alternative actions, and a “similarity” analysis which shows a user how adjustments to input data may affect the resulting predictions. The “what if” prediction provides users guidance as to what actions may be most beneficial. The “similarity” analysis helps the users understand consequences of medical decisions.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Juan Carlos RIVEIRO INSUA, Cristián MEROÑO GIL, David VEGAS GARCIA

Patent number: 11256741Abstract: An automatic video tagging system which learns from videos, their web context and comments shared on social networks is described. Massive multimedia collections are analyzed by Internet crawling and a knowledge base is maintained that updates in real time with no need of human supervision. As a result, each video is indexed with a rich set of labels and linked with other related contents. Practical applications of video recognition require a label scheme that is appealing to the end-user (i.e. obtained from social curation) and a training dataset that can be updated in real-time to be able to recognize new actions, scenes and people. To create this dataset that evolves in real-time and uses labels that are relevant to the users, a weakly-supervised deep learning approach is utilized combining both a machine-learning pre-processing stage together with a set of keywords obtained from the internet.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2017Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: Vertex Capital LLCInventors: Elisenda Bou Balust, Juan Carlos Riveiro Insua, Delia Fernandez Cañellas, Joan Espadaler Rodes, Asier Aduriz Berasategi, David Varas Gonzalez
