    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pruning pot device. The device is comprised of a body, a plurality of hinges, and a plurality of latches. The body may be of various sizes to accommodate different plants or trees and may include indicia on any surface. The device further comprises a plurality of openings on the bottom surface of the body, allowing the roots of the plants to grow without obstruction. In addition, the device is comprised of a root blocker to allow the user to block the openings if they wish. The latches allow the device to be secured in a closed position when not in use and the hinges allow the device to be opened and closed. The pruning pot device of the present invention is useful in pruning and cultivating plants and trees with minimal risk of killing the plants.
