Abstract: An elevator panel assembly comprises a detachable panel (4), for covering a front surface of an elevator car panel (2b), and a separation member (7). The separation member (7) comprises a head portion (7a) received against a back surface of the detachable panel (4). The detachable panel (4) is magnetically attachable to the elevator car panel (2b) and comprises a through hole (9) which is smaller than the head portion (7a) of the separation member (7) and arranged to sit directly over the head portion (7a). The separation member (7) is configured so that a tool inserted through the through hole (9) engages with the head portion to apply a mechanical force, causing the head portion (7a) to push against the back surface of the detachable panel (4).

Abstract: An access door assembly for an elevator car, the access door assembly including: an elevator car panel including an access hatch; an access door panel arranged to close the access hatch; and a hinge mechanism connecting the access door panel to the elevator car panel; the hinge mechanism allows the access door panel to move from an initial closed position in an initial plane to a final open position in a final plane substantially parallel to the initial plane; wherein the initial plane is the plane of the elevator car panel; and the hinge mechanism constrains the access door panel when opening to move perpendicular to the initial plane of the elevator car panel and to rotate around an axis perpendicular to the initial plane of the elevator car panel, to enable the access door panel to reach a final open position.

Abstract: A wheel assembly comprises an outboard flange and an inboard portion. The inboard portion includes an inboard flange that is integrally formed with a center portion. The outboard flange may be joined to the inboard portion at a circumferential wheel joint. Welding and/or fasteners may be utilized in order to join the outboard flange to the inboard portion at the wheel joint. A retention member may optionally be included along the wheel joint in order to axially outwardly bias the fasteners to prevent inadvertent loosening of the fastener during the life of the wheel assembly.
