  • Patent number: 5791957
Abstract: A water sports device for a standing rider who can turn the device in any direction relative to the towing water craft while at the same time elevating the rider above the surface of the water. This device includes a round board with anchor points on the upper surface for foot bindings as well as a round bar extending downward from the center of the board on which round planning disks are mounted generally at the midpoint and lower end. The rider controls direction and elevation by shifting weight on the board and while the round upper board initially rides on the surface of the water with the planing disks submerged, as the rider increases speed and shifts weight backwards the middle planing disk comes to the surface and ultimately only the lower disk rides on the water. Ideally, towing speed is adjusted so that the riders' weight is comfortably supported with the middle planning disk on the surface of the water while the lower disk remains submerged and the board is elevated.

  • Patent number: 5099224
Abstract: A method for detecting and identifying the magnetic characteristics of materials by generating an interrogating electromagnetic field in which two opposing receiver antenna assemblies are immersed. The material is housed substantially within one of the receiver antenna assemblies so that one end protrudes slightly inside the other receiver antenna assembly to minimize edge effect noise. The responding field is detected, sampled and converted to a digital signal that is compared against pre-stored values that correspond to particular signatures or patterns of the materials being identified. Through computational adjustments of the digital values or adjustments to the interrogating field, the resulting digital values are fitted to the waveform patterns, within preestablished variances.

  • Patent number: 4668999
Abstract: A time base video equalizer and/or corrector for video tape or disk machines including a precorrector and a postcorrector section. The device is driven by a master video source, corrected or not, and synchronization with a slave video machine is achieved for the operation of interfaced special effects video devices. The jitter and coherence imperfections of the master video signal are followed by the slave machine thereby equating or synchronizing their timing components.

  • Patent number: 4577229
Abstract: A device for mixing video and audio signals originated from at least one remote camera and one director camera including a main unit having a circuit for synchronizing the video signals of the remote and director cameras, and a circuit for combining these signals through the use of removable special effects cartridges or subassemblies that are pre-programmed for predetermined video switching patterns. The circuit for synchronizing the video signals separates the sync signals from the director and remote cameras, locks the vertical, horizontal and color subcarrier on the director camera from the remote camera. The device is connected through junction box to director camera and video tape recorder, and directly to remote camera.
