Publication number: 20250052661Abstract: Improvement are proposed to increase the size accuracy and resolving power with which variants of the variable saturation condensation particle sizer (VSCPS) of Gallar et al. (2006) may characterize particles suspended in a gas. One essential component of this invention is an efficient method to achieve saturation of the gas flow passing through a saturation chamber, independently from the value of the gas flow rate through that chamber. The resulting strict linearity between the maximum vapor saturation ratio achieved in the instrument and the finely controlled gas flow rate through the saturator facilitates the precise inference of particle size, as well as the possibility to determine size without lengthy calibrations. Also described is a novel approach to introduce the particles to be sized in the center of a stream of vapor laden sheath gas.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2023Publication date: February 13, 2025Inventor: Juan Fernandez de la Mora

Publication number: 20250056448Abstract: A method of enabling synchronisation of a second clock at a second device with a first clock at a first device further comprising a third clock. A first message comprising an identifier generated in dependence on the third clock is transmitted to the second device. A timestamp is generated in dependence on the time at which the first message is transmitted from the first device according to the first clock, and a second message comprising the identifier and the generated timestamp is generated. The second message is then transmitted to the second device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2024Publication date: February 13, 2025Inventors: Arnold Mark BILSTAD, Jose Juan FERNANDEZ DIOS, Paul Matthew BLAY

Patent number: 11720396Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for application programming interface (API) request throttling. A request throttling system monitors incoming API requests and applies delays to repeated API requests to avoid an overload and/or disruption in service. Upon receiving an API request from a requesting device, the request throttling system determines a counter value that is used to determine whether to apply a delay to API request. The counter value indicates a number or previous requests received from the requesting device that were directed to the same resource and which resulted in an error. The request throttling system compares the counter value to a threshold value to determine whether to apply a delay to the API request. Applying a delay reduces the speed at which subsequent repeat API requests are received from the requesting device, while still allowing for API requests from the requesting device to be processed.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2021Date of Patent: August 8, 2023Assignee: Twillo Inc.Inventors: Juan Fernández Ortiz, Madeleine Genevieve Muscari, JoséManuel Felguera Rodriguez, Freddy Pena, Samuel Moran, Umer Liqat, Jeremy Andrew McEntire, Will Mason
