  • Patent number: 10690027
Abstract: A two-segment tube fluid level indicating system attached at one end to the vehicle's engine and at the other end to a fixed structure of the vehicle's engine bay is disclosed. The two-segment tube assembly includes a first tube segment having an end attached to the engine block and a second tube segment having an end attached to a fixed structure of the engine bay. The first tube segment is a common tube segment adapted for use with a given engine. The second tube segment is specific to a vehicle model. The first and second tube segments are axially and rotatably movable with respect to each other. A bracket having an elastomeric isolator attaches the second tube segment to the fixed structure. The movability of the first and second tube segments relative to each other and the elastomeric isolator operate to prevent damage to the tube portion during engine operation.

  • Patent number: 8022019
Abstract: Method and system for making a spherical proppant having a selected grade from a naturally occurring mined mineral having a hardness of over 6.0 Mohs. The method and system involves preprocessing the mineral mechanically into a semi-dry feedstock comprising a mass of particles with initial sphericity values generally less than 0.60; subjecting the semi-dry feedstock to an aggressive abrasive attrition operation for a process time; and, controlling the process time to a value wherein the particles of the feedstock are converted to final processed particles having a sphericity greater than 0.60 by increasing the sphericity of the feedstock particles by at least 0.10. In addition, the processed particles are screened to obtain a proppant having a selected grade.

  • Publication number: 20050024224
Abstract: The object of this Utility model consists in the addition of an electric hand lamp or emergency light function to a cordless transmitter that is used to remotely control the locking or unlocking of the vehicles doors and trunk, and/or and, in some cases, the antitheft security or alarm system, letting the possessor of the transmitter the advantage of having a source of illumination, without the necessity of carrying another device designed specifically to illuminate a dark area, or to generate a strong emergency light signal.

  • Patent number: 5334364
Abstract: A process for the elimination of iron from silica sand, comprising: abrasive-attritioning sand particles by subjecting the sand particles, in a single step and under dry conditions, to centrifugal rotation and simultaneously imparting an agitation with a translative eccentric movement and downstream and upstream movements causing that substantially all the sand particles be abrasive attritioned to each other wearing their surfaces to remove impurities covering said sand particles; and separating said iron impurities from said sand particles by magnetic separation, flotation or other known methods, thus simplifying the conventional processes just to one attrition step and suppressing the chemical treatment with acids or alkalis which was necessary in conventional processes.

  • Patent number: 5252728
Abstract: The present invention consists in a process for obtaining polymers with antiviral activity which is characterized in that beginning with oligo or polysaccharides with a specific structure, polymers with a specific number of carbonyl groups are obtained by oxidation; in that the carbonyl groups of the oxidized oligo/polysaccharides are made to react with amino groups of molecules carrying amino and sulfonated groups, such as aliphatic aminosulfonates, in water or in mixtures of water with water-miscible solvents, under specific temperature, time, and pH conditions, giving rise to polymers carrying sulfonated groups, which are purified by conventional processes; in that the sulfonated polymers thus obtained have antiviral activity and either lack or present very low toxicity and anticoagulant activity, and are thus suitable for the production of pharmaceutical preparations suitable for use in topical or systemic antiviral therapy in humans or in animals. It is applicable in the pharmaceutical industry.
