Publication number: 20240210975Abstract: A parallel current source may be used to improve the maximum current that can be provided by a voltage regulator. The parallel current source may be used to boost efficiency of the voltage regulator by providing additional current to the output voltage node during increased current loads. In operation, when the parallel current source detects that an output current sensed at a current sense node transgresses a current threshold level, then the parallel current source controls a variable current source to apply additional current to the output voltage node. The parallel current source enables generation of a demanded current load while reducing average current passing through individual solder bumps and other components, thereby improving component reliability. The parallel current source also the voltage regulator circuit to operate at reduced current levels that improve or maximize the power efficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2022Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: Christopher Schaef, Juan Munoz Constantine, Alexander Lyakhov, Jimmy Huat Since Huang

Publication number: 20220126319Abstract: A method and associated system provides automated abrasive paint repair using automated abrasive paint repair devices that selectively sand, buff, and polish a substrate in response to received instructions generated by a controller. The controller receives coordinates of each identified defect in the substrate along with parameters describing characteristics of each defect, selects a sanding process, a buffing process, and/or a polishing process based on empirically derived rules established by skilled/expert human operators and the received parameters. The controller outputs instructions to cause the automated abrasive paint repair devices to execute the selected sanding process, buffing process, and/or polishing process using the received parameters. The empirically derived rules and parameters may be stored in a lookup table and/or updated by a machine learning module.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2019Publication date: April 28, 2022Inventors: Nicholas D. Publication number: 20220060180Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a circuit which generates a sawtooth waveform based on an adaptive feedback loop that self-corrects the ramp up rate to account for variations in a device. The sawtooth waveform is obtained by repeatedly charging and discharging a capacitor according to a clock signal. The sawtooth waveform can be sampled once per clock period at a comparator which provides a corresponding binary output to a state machine. If the binary output indicates the amplitude of the sawtooth waveform is below a desired maximum voltage, the state machine outputs a code word to a digitally-controlled variable current source to increase the output current. The sawtooth waveform can be used to provide a pulse-width modulated (PWM) waveform such as for a DC-DC converter.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2021Publication date: February 24, 2022Inventors: Juan Munoz Constantine, Christopher Schaef, Ajay Janardanan, Alexander Lyakhov

Publication number: 20210110140Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments providing model data specific to particular object recognition client environments. Model data capable of performing well under all possible conditions can be large, slow, and less accurate, at least in some circumstances. The disclosed embodiments solve this problem by providing smaller, more precisely designed models that are adapted to specific conditions faced by an object recognition client. These smaller, more precise models are extracted, in response to a request for said model data, from a super-net trained via data matching one or more environmental conditions specified by the object recognition client. By providing the client with model data tailored to its specific needs, several technical benefits are achieved, such as higher object recognition accuracy with less processing overhead.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2020Publication date: April 15, 2021Inventors: Juan Munoz, Ignacio J.
