  • Publication number: 20130060723
Abstract: The present document describes a system and method for managing electronic information. The system may include an input adapted to receive a search topic from a remote user device over a communication network, and a smart agent module configured to perform a semantic analysis on the topic to generate a set of filter parameters. The system may then to collect electronic information about the search topic from at least one remote electronic information source over the communication network, and filter the collected information using the set of filter parameters to produce a stream of filtered information. The filtered information may then be packaged in discrete information containers and sent to the user device for display.

  • Publication number: 20130060791
Abstract: The present document describes a system and method for managing electronic information. The system may receive a search topic from the user and optionally a set of filter parameters e.g search keywords, information sources, time etc. The system may then collect information about the search topic from at least one remote information source over the communication network. The collected information is then filtered in accordance with the filter parameters and packaged in discrete information containers. The discrete information containers may then be sent to the remote user device for display.

  • Patent number: 8028232
Abstract: A method of editing image data, wherein an image frame comprising a plurality of components is generated by processing a plurality of data processing nodes arranged in a hierarchical structure, said image frame is displayed to a user, said user manually selects one of said plurality of components for editing, a first data processing node considered to be appropriate to said component is selected and editing tools relevant to said first data processing node are displayed to said user.

  • Publication number: 20080028323
Abstract: A document collaboration process is centered around a digital media object that is the subject of the collaboration, and makes the role of the server computer that is hosting the collaboration session more transparent to the user. As a result, a user can initiate a collaboration session without logging into the server computer and uploading the digital media object into the server computer. A user can also join a collaboration session without logging into the server computer. The process for initiating a collaboration session may be performed directly from the browser while viewing a web page, directly from an e-mail interface while viewing an e-mail, directly from an Instant Messaging Interface while participating in an IM session or directly from a file browser while viewing a list of files stored in the user computer.

  • Patent number: 7167189
Abstract: An apparatus for generating image data is provided which comprises memory means, display means, user input means, and processing means, wherein said memory means stores said image data and instructions and said instructions configure said processing means to perform the steps of defining first image data, as a first layer having respective co-ordinates within a three-dimensional volume configured with a reference co-ordinate system; upon selecting second image data as a second layer to composite with said first layer, generating a reference pose layer and configuring the co-ordinates thereof as a second reference co-ordinate system within said volume; positioning said reference pose layer relative to said first layer; and defining said second image data as said second layer having respective co-ordinates within said three-dimensional volume configured with said second reference co-ordinate system.

  • Patent number: 7009611
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for generating three-dimensional text 1403 within images 1601 composited in real time, by means of generating three-dimensional text 1403 from one or a plurality of text formatting templates 303. Storage means 204 stores said text formatting templates 303 and instructions 302 for processing means 201, 202. Said instructions 302 configure said processing means 201, 202 to define (404) a text formatting template 512. Said instructions 302 further configure said processing means 201, 202 to equip (405) said defined text formatting template 512 with three-dimensional preferences with which to format text 1402 to be included in said template and subsequently equip (407) said defined text formatting template 512 with said text 1402. Said instructions 302 finally configure said processing means 201,202 to render (408) said two-dimensional template 512 including said text 1403 formatted according to said three-dimensional preferences (1602).
