  • Publication number: 20230418066
Abstract: Volume hologram couplers are multiplexed into a same volume to increase the field of view of components in a waveguide assembly such as an augmented reality (AR) waveguide assembly for use in electronic eyewear devices. The multiplexing can be done in any direction perpendicular to the optical axis. Multiplexing of the volume hologram couplers combines different functions of the waveguide assembly into one diffractive optical element (DOE) in the form of an input coupler or an output coupler. For example, each volume holographic grating of input couplers and output couplers has a different refraction angle, a different periodicity, or both relative to any other volume holographic grating in the same volume. The resulting DOEs reduce reinteraction losses, reduce thickness, reduce the amount of DOEs and the number of layers and airgaps, and increase robustness (volume versus surface relief that can scratch or break).

  • Publication number: 20230418071
Abstract: A waveguide includes a waveguide body including an optically transmissive material having a refractive index different from a surrounding medium and defining an output surface. The waveguide body is configured to propagate light by total internal reflection in one or more directions substantially tangential to the output surface. The waveguide includes one or more diffractive optical elements (DOEs), each configured to change its diffraction efficiency in response to a respective stimulus, and a DOE driver configured to provide the stimuli to each of the DOEs independently.

  • Publication number: 20220099971
Abstract: This application relates to a see-through head-mounted display using recorded substrate-guided holographic continuous lens (SGHCL) and a microdisplay with narrow spectral band source or laser illumination. The high diffraction efficiency of the volume SGHCL creates very high luminance of the virtual image.

  • Publication number: 20200065827
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an anticounterfeiting system based on optical technology that verify the authenticity of protected cinema screens. The optical technology includes taggants embedded or attached to the screen and an optical readout system that can interrogate the taggant layer and receive the taggant output. The taggants are capable of reflecting a pattern that unambiguously demonstrates that the screen contains the taggant. The taggants are covert because they are not visible under normal lighting conditions or during cinema operation, but are detected when interrogated by the optical readout system.

  • Patent number: 6138926
Abstract: A detersive foam producer and expeller pneumatic machine characterized by a main conduit formed by two sections coupled to both mouths of a flow regulator valve, each having a corresponding smaller shunt, of which the front section shunt connects up a pneumatic pressure regulator and the shunt corresponding to the rear section is connected to a diaphragm pneumatic pump by its outlet mouth, the pump being in connection with a suction hose coming from a container of detersive solution, and the final end of main conduit connected to the ejection hose.
