  • Publication number: 20120243901
Abstract: A developing device includes a seal member adhered to a frame along an axial direction of a developing roller. The seal member seals between the frame and an outer peripheral surface of the developing roller. The frame has a seal supporting surface extending along the axial direction, on which the seal member is supported in a cantilevered fashion. The seal member includes a sheet-like member and an elastic adhesive member. One end portion of the sheet-like member is fixed to the seal supporting surface through the elastic adhesive member, and the other end portion is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller. The elastic adhesive member has a first surface adhered to the sheet-like member and a second surface adhered to the seal supporting surface, and at least one slit is formed along the axial direction from the second surface toward the first surface.

  • Patent number: 6468376
Abstract: A precision clamping apparatus is described which is suitable for use with a high temperature curing process. A clamp according to the invention includes a base plate with a supporting surface for a component (which consists of two portions to be bonded together), and at least two alignment stops against which the first and second sides of the component can be pressed. A pressure plate is provided to mate with the base plate to exert uniform clamping force on the component to allow a uniform thickness of cured adhesive to form between internal surfaces of the component. The pressure plate is precisely aligned with the supporting surface in the horizontal plane by guides which allow vertical movement. The pressure plate is made self-aligning with the surface of the component by being urged toward the supporting surface by a resilient structure which is in turn held in position by attachment to the base plate. Adjustable lateral fingers are provided to urge the component against the alignment stops.

  • Patent number: 6311379
Abstract: The invention relates to a folding machine for producing folded seam connections between partial surfaces (38a) consisting of flat material closed in a tubular form. The inventive folding machine comprises a machine stand (2a, 2b, 2c), a fixed wheel (3), a pressing wheel (4) which is able to move in relation to said fixed wheel (3), and a closing plate (3) which is displaceable in relation to said pressing wheel (4) and which is arranged on a first bearing part (14) in such a way that it can turn. The folding machine also comprises a guiding device (17, 18) by which means the first bearing part (14) swings forward between a final release position and a final pressing position. During the movement between these two final positions, the distance between the edge areas of the closing plate and the pressing wheel (4) which project against the fixed wheel changes, as does the orientation of the closing plate (5).
