Patent number: 6581768Abstract: A desktop storage device is provided comprising an elongated platform element adapted to be inserted and retained within an elongated container. The elongated platform element includes a lower platform upon which said pens, pencils and similar elongated objects rest, and an upper platform connected to the lower platform by means of an elongated connecting member. Disposed within the upper platform is at least one aperture, said aperture serving to allow the pens or pencils to be inserted therethrough, and further allowing the user to grasp the elongated platform in order to slide it out of the container. The elongated platform element is adapted to be inserted into and securely retained within the container. Pens and pencils may be inserted through the aperture in the upper platform, and thereupon come to rest on the lower platform, being bound by the interior surface of the container.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2001Date of Patent: June 24, 2003Assignee: Loop Licensing Co., Inc.Inventors: China Young, Jude Pauli

Publication number: 20020104811Abstract: A desktop organizer composed of a flexible and pliable material is provided comprising at least one container element, at least two vertical partitions for receiving paper and the like, and at least one magnetic element disposed on the surface, or just below the surface, thereof for attracting and retaining paper clips and the like. In the preferred embodiment, the desktop organizer is composed of a foam rubber-type material, which material allows pushpins or needles to be safely and conveniently stored therein by merely inserting the pin into the surface of the organizer, without damaging the organizer in the process.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2001Publication date: August 8, 2002Inventors: China Young, Jude Pauli

Patent number: 4340202Abstract: A four way valve assembly is provided which includes a main valve member operable by independent pilot valve actuation. The independent pilot operation means that the main valve stroke can be varied over a relatively wide range, enabling the valve to be produced in a number of sizes without requiring redesign of the pilot valve portion of the valve. A pilot body is mounted to the main valve and has a movable plunger of a conventional solenoid actuator attached to it. The plunger extends within the pilot body and has a loose fitting pilot slide mounted to its free end. The relative loose fitting pilot slide reduces the need for close manufacturing tolerances for the component parts used in constructing the pilot valve portion of the valve. The pilot slide is maintained in sealed relationship with a wall of the pilot body by relatively high pressure fluid passing through the pilot valve body.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 1980Date of Patent: July 20, 1982Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.Inventors: David P. Hargraves, Jude A. Pauli, Steven E. Williams

Patent number: 4109221Abstract: A solenoid valve having a core tube and a top plug in the outer end of the core tube, is provided with an integrally formed, closed top wall and fastening means for preventing movement of a solenoid coil. The fastening means is mounted to the top wall and projects outwardly axially therefrom. In the preferred embodiment, the fastening means has an outer wall formed in a screw thread. A nut with a complementary internal thread is screwed down on the thread of the fastening means to hold the solenoid coil in place.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1976Date of Patent: August 22, 1978Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.Inventor: Jude A. Patent number: 4079886Abstract: A double ported valve has structural features including an integral valve body construction which provides more consistent valve performance, longer valve life, and improved operating characteristics. The integral valve body eliminates the need for external sealing gaskets. Consequently, a consistent valve stroke can be maintained, thereby reducing variations in valve capacity in applicational use. The construction also permits the various valve components to be tested prior to final assembly. Compensation for variations discovered during test is accomplished by providing an external adjustment means in the valve. The adjustment means is positioned downstream of the outlet side of the valve so that short stroke valve operation is possible, with consequent reduction in the amount of valve packing required to seal a stem of the valve against leakage.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 1977Date of Patent: March 21, 1978Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.Inventor: Jude A. Patent number: 4064826Abstract: A sight glass device for liquid line is provided which clearly demonstrates to an observer the state of the fluid in the line, and which magnifies even small bubbles of gas. The device includes a reflector surface separated from a convex lens by a fluid sight chamber. The optical effect of the lens, fluid and reflective surface is such that full, partially full, and gas bubbles all give distinctive and different visual indications to the observer.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1976Date of Patent: December 27, 1977Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.Inventor: Jude A.
