  • Patent number: 10386471
Abstract: A method of estimating velocity from a return signal originating from a single linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal. The method includes the steps of receiving a return signal originating from a transmitted LFM signal. A first filter is applied to the return signal for generating a first response signal. A second filter is also applied to the return signal for generating a second response signal. An estimate of velocity of a potential target identified in the return signal is calculated according to the ratio of the second response signal to the first response signal.

  • Patent number: 10345432
Abstract: A signal processing system including a plurality of receivers configured to receive a return signal from a transmitted radio frequency (RF) waveform. A mode control processor is configured to selectively and independently alter at least one characteristic of a signal down conversion process performed by each receiver. A digital signal processor is configured to integrate the outputs of the plurality of receivers.

  • Patent number: 10247815
Abstract: A phased array radar system comprises an array antenna including a plurality of selectively controllable transmit/receive (T/R) modules. One or more computer processors and associated memory devices are provided in communication with the plurality of T/R modules. The control processor is configured to cause the transmission of a first plurality of radio frequency (RF) pulses from a first portion of the array antenna, wherein the first plurality of pulses comprise at least two pulses having distinct center frequencies. A second plurality of RF pulses are transmitted from a second portion of the array antenna, wherein the second plurality of pulses comprise at least two pulses having distinct center frequencies. Received return signals originating from the first and second plurality of transmitted pulses are non-coherently integrated prior to the performance of target detection operations.
