The trained classifier determines a classification of the target media content based on nominally factored social interaction attributes obtained during a monitored social interaction with the target media content and one or more users. The classification may include identifying at least one genre for the media content, as well as predicting whether the media content will go viral or not. The classification may also be used to provide recommendation to the one or more users of other media content.
