    Abstract: A method of making a drawing media which can be applied to a substrate in which the drawing media is prepared by mixing together a pigment a binder, and an organosilicon compound. The organosilicon compound is a volatile low viscosity methylsilicone fluid which is either a cyclic silicone polymer or a short chain linear silicone polymer. The silicone containing drawing media is applied to the substrate, and the drawing media is allowed to dry on the substrate.

    Abstract: A clear shampoo is described which contains a cationic oil-in-water emulsion of an amine functional polydimethyl silicone, and a method of making clear and stable shampoo compositions, in which an emulsion of an amine functional siloxane can be added to a shampoo composition without causing cloudiness, and without contributing instability to the shampoo composition whereby phase separation occurs. In accordance with the method, an emulsion of an amine functional siloxane is added to a shampoo composition without the necessity of requiring that a pearling agent be employed for the purpose of disguising cloudiness.

    Abstract: A process for permanent waving of hair by a reaction in which cystine bridges are reduced to cysteine, the hair reshaped, and the reaction reversed. The improvement in the process resides in the step of reversing the reaction by applying to hair a composition which includes a vinyl functional silicone, a carrier fluid, and an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide. Permanent hair waving neutralizer compositions are also described.

Also disclosed is a hair shampoo conditioning composition in the form of a mixture including water, at least one surfactant, a thickener, and an organosilicon conditioning compound. In both compositions, the organosilicon compound is a siloxane selected from the group consisting of carboxy functional polysiloxanes, carboxy-glycol ether functional polysiloxanes, and carboxy-glycol ester functional polysiloxanes. These compositions may also include dyes, neutralizing agents, or reducing agents, if desired.
