  • Publication number: 20170036807
Abstract: A multi-cell partition includes a panel defining first, second and third fold lines between opposing ends thereof, with the third fold line between the first and second fold lines, and at least one elongated cross wall coupled to and between opposing panel sides and defining a fourth fold line. The partition has a closed position with the panel folded along the third fold line and unfolded along the first and second fold lines and with the at least one elongated side wall folded along the fourth fold line and at least partially disposed between the folded panel, and an open position with the panel unfolded along the third fold line and folded along the first and second fold lines to form a pair of upstanding side walls with the at least one elongated side wall unfolded along the fourth fold line and extending between the upstanding side walls.

  • Patent number: 9550336
Abstract: A product made from an extruded sheet or web of material having a non-linear cross-section, and the process of making the product are provided. The extruded web or extrudate is plastically deformed in selected areas and then folded. When folded into the appropriate shape, the extrudate is formed into a product having a plurality of cells. The cells may have one or more openings, allowing access to an interior of the cell and reducing the weight of the product.

  • Patent number: 9550318
Abstract: A process of making a multi-layered product from an extruded sheet or web of material (42) having parallel upper and lower walls (130) and a plurality of spacers (134) extending between the upper and lower walls (130) is provided. Portions of the extruded web or extrudate (42) are removed in selected areas. The lightened web is then folded. Outer skins are then applied to the folded web. The extrudate (42) is formed into a product (10) having a plurality of cells (14). The cells (14) may have one or more openings (34), allowing access to an interior of the cell (14) and reducing the weight of the product (10).

  • Patent number: 9527613
Abstract: The present invention provides a container for holding product therein during shipment and being returned for reuse that has a body, tracks attached to opposite sides of the body, and a plurality of support members extending between the tracks. Sliders are located at the ends of tubular supports, the sliders being slidable in the tracks to move the support members. The support members support dunnage for supporting products for storage or shipment.

  • Publication number: 20160332408
Abstract: A non-collapsible, non-disassembling intersecting partition matrix for insertion into a container divides the space inside the container into individual cells for holding products during shipment. The matrix comprises first slotted partitions intersecting with second slotted partitions. Each of the first slotted partitions has bridges extending upwardly from an intermediate edge of the partition through which one of the second partitions passes to create a preliminary partition matrix. The preliminary partition matrix is heated to melt the bridges of the first slotted partitions. The melted intersections of the matrix are cooled which results in a matrix which may not be disassembled.
