  • Patent number: 11953567
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a magnetic multi-turn sensor comprising a continuous coil of magnetoresistive elements and a method of manufacturing said sensor. The continuous coil is formed on a substrate such as a silicon wafer that has been fabricated so as to form a trench and bridge arrangement that enables the inner and outer spiral to be connected without interfering with the magnetoresistive elements of the spiral winding in between. Once the substrate has been fabricated with the trench and bridge arrangement, a film of the magnetoresistive material can be deposited to form a continuous coil on the surface of the substrate, wherein a portion of the coil is formed in the trench and a portion of the coil is formed on the bridge.

Abstract: A knob locking assembly for a laparoscopic medical device is provided. The knob locking assembly includes a lock configured to engage the knob locking assembly with a drive tube housing of the laparoscopic medical device in extended and retracted positions where the knob locking assembly rotates but does not translate with respect to the drive tube housing when engaged. The knob locking assembly also has a biasing member that provides a biasing force for biasing the lock in each of the extended and retracted positions to lock out longitudinal translation of the rotatable drive assembly when the knob locking assembly is engaged with the drive tube. In addition, the knob locking assembly includes an actuator to counter the biasing force for disengaging the lock to permit longitudinal translation of the rotatable drive assembly via the knob locking assembly when disengaged.

  • Patent number: 11949811
Abstract: An example method is described. The method includes receiving, by a computing system, data indicative of a call into an interactive voice response (IVR) system from a user device and determining, by the computing system and based on the data, a set of actions performed by the user device within the IVR system and a corresponding set of results performed by the IVR system during the call. Additionally, the method includes converting, by the computing system, the set of actions and the corresponding set of results into a sequence of code pairs using a dictionary established based on training data, determining, by the computing system, an activity pattern during the call based on the sequence of code pairs; and calculating, by the computing system, a probability that the call is fraudulent based on the activity pattern during the call.

  • Publication number: 20240087069
Abstract: A method and model for sustainable leadership development, premised on the sustainable-unsustainable leadership theory (SULT) is set forth herein to intervene in the phenomenon of leadership failure and associated crises. Empirical evidence of leadership failure longitudinally, demonstrated a need for a paradigm shift for leadership. Unnecessary war-related deaths and expenditures, scandals, and other harms to people are unsustainable. The method and model supported by leadership's grand theory, is underpinned by a 3-year exploratory sequential mixed methods study. A theory emerged during theoretical sampling and constant comparative analysis of interviews from six continents, giving rise to the aphorism “leadership in the absence of moral action is unsustainable.” Random sampling from 2,523 global cases, analyzing 2,191 in a quantitative phase, showed statistically significant association between unethical leadership action (ULA) and unsustainable leadership outcomes (ULO), ?2 (1, N=2,191)=119.643, p<0.

  • Patent number: 11906944
Abstract: Methods and systems include ways to implement change analysis of an automated production line including at least one robot. Monitoring a plurality of operating parameters associated with the automated production line including the at least one robot is followed by recording at least one change to the plurality of operating parameters. A notification is then provided identifying the at least one change to the plurality of operating parameters. The notification can include mapping the at least one change onto a graphical representation of the automated production line, thereby identifying a portion of the automated production line affected by the at least one change. As a result, at least one of the operating parameters can be adjusted in response to the notification. An action can also be performed in response to the notification. In this manner, the change analysis can optimize operation of the automated production line.
