  • Patent number: 8814478
Abstract: The invention relates to a tool for turning/turn broaching or external milling of work pieces rotating about longitudinal axes during machining, comprising a disc-shaped tool support having cassettes (20) disposed peripherally thereon, each of said cassettes containing a cutting insert (12, 13, 14), said cassettes being fastenable to a circular, partially circular or segmented removable support (11) that is fastened either directly to a machine spindle or indirectly to a machine spindle by way of an adapter.

  • Publication number: 20040056542
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotor for an electrical rotating machine, e.g., a turbo generator. The rotor has a rotor winding that is provided with several sectors positioned next to each other in circumferential direction. In each sector, several conductor bars are stacked on top of each other in radial direction. The conductor bars extend parallel to the longitudinal rotor axis. Each of the sectors has an axial ventilation channel and several radial ventilation openings communicating with said ventilation channel. In relation to the conductor bars, the ventilation channel is positioned radially inside and extends parallel to the longitudinal rotor axis. The ventilation openings are spaced apart from each other in axial direction and extend radially through the conductor bars.

  • Patent number: 6558116
Abstract: A turbo-generator comprising a shaft, on which is positioned an axial ventilator, a cover that divides an inflow chamber for a cooling gas transported by the axial ventilator from an outflow chamber for this cooling gas, and a cylindrical channel segment that is positioned coaxially to the axial compressor and surrounds the axial compressor radially, whereby the inflow chamber comprises an asymmetrical cooling gas supply, and whereby in the inflow chamber means for homogenizing the cooling gas supply to the axial ventilator are provided. In order to improve the cooling, and therefore the efficiency of the machine, the inflow chamber forms a rotation-symmetrical annular chamber in the region of an inflow opening of the channel segment. A cylindrical annular collar is positioned coaxially to the axial ventilator within this annular chamber. The annular collar projects axially into the annular chamber and forms a completely surrounding, radial throttling gap at the inflow opening.
