Abstract: A medical or dental handpiece comprises a grip sleeve, a handpiece head, an engagement element and a retaining member. The handpiece head comprises a head housing and a hollow connecting sleeve extending from the head housing for connecting the handpiece head to the grip sleeve. The engagement element has a first end positionable to extend through the grip sleeve and a second end engageable within an opening in the handpiece head. The retaining member is spaced proximally from the handpiece head. The first end of the engagement element is connectable with the retaining member to secure the second end of the engagement element against the handpiece head and to retain the grip sleeve around the engagement element and against the handpiece head.

Abstract: In a micro heat exchanger for the transfer of high area-specific amounts of heat from a heat source to a heat transfer medium, including a heat transfer structure with an inlet- and an outlet duct structure between which a plurality of passages extend through the heat transfer structure, the inlet and outlet duct structures are arranged in alternating order in the heat transfer area in close proximity to the heat source, with the inlet and outlet duct structure and the passages interconnecting the inlet and outlet structures covering the whole heat transfer area directly adjacent the heat source.

Abstract: In a microstructure apparatus for heating and atomizing a fluid with an inner body received in an outer tube, circumferential microstructure passages are formed into the inner surface of the outer tube or the outer surface of the inner body so as to form a flow passage which is provided with an inlet connector and heating means are incorporated into the inner body for heating the fluid conducted through the microstructure flow passages under pressure, the microstructure fluid passages extending spirally around the inner body so as to proved for a relatively long microstructure fluid flow passage which is open at the axial end thereof for discharging the fluid heated pressurized therein through the open axial end.

Abstract: A spacing device for fixing the position of an implant cavity in which a dental implant may be inserted, and a implantological guide instrument, particularly for use in jaw surgery, with a spacing device for guiding a drill mounted on a dental instrument for drilling the implant cavity, are described. One embodiment of the spacing device includes a positioning instrument that is designed such that it is attachable to the neck of a tooth or a dental prosthesis. A further embodiment of a spacing device is provided with an attachment portion or mechanism for connecting the spacing device to a dental instrument. The guide instrument is attachable to the spacing device and equipped with a guide bush, guide pins, a slide bush and a mounting portion to ensure that the user is able to carry out a cavity drilling procedure safely and easily.
