  • Patent number: 10981292
Abstract: A handheld work apparatus includes a drive motor, an operating-fluid tank and a motor carrier on which the drive motor is held. The operating-fluid tank has a first housing section and a second housing section. The first housing section is realized so as to be integral with the motor carrier. At least a portion of the second housing section is formed from light-transmitting material to permit discerning the fill level of the operating-fluid tank. The motor carrier has a light-transmitting light conductive element for conducting light into the operating-fluid tank.

  • Patent number: 10512999
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-part cut guard for a tool that is rotatable in a cutting plane. The cut guard includes a first part element and at least one further part element. The part elements are connected together at their ends and form a closed circumference. Opposing first ends of the part elements are connected together, forming a pivot joint. The second ends of the part elements are fixed releasably together. The pivot joint is formed from a latching receptacle and a latching stub which form the pivot joint in the latched state and are intended to be separated in order to release the latching.

  • Patent number: 9417651
Abstract: A work apparatus has a drive motor for driving a work tool and has a control unit for the drive motor. The operating device includes an actuating element actuated by a user. The actuating element is mounted in a movable manner in a housing and can be adjusted in an actuating direction between a zero position and a maximum position. An intermediate stop acts between the zero position and the maximum position. The position of the intermediate stop is settable via a setting element. After the intermediate stop has been reached, the actuating element can be actuated further as far as the maximum position. The operating force (F) for further actuating the actuating element increases when the intermediate stop is reached. Provision is made for the operating force (F) to drop again upon further actuation of the actuating element after the intermediate stop has been overcome.

  • Patent number: 9320195
Abstract: A trimmer head for a trimmer has a base member having a trimmer line opening. A clamping device arranged in the base member clamps a trimmer line that defines a cutting plane when rotated. The clamping member of the clamping device is rotatably disposed on a pivot bolt having a pivot axis positioned in a plane that is parallel to the cutting plane. The clamping member is spring-loaded by a clamping spring into a clamping position. The trimmer line is secured in the clamping position between a clamping surface and the clamping member. A centrifugal force acting on the trimmer line loads the clamping member in the clamping position. A U-shaped bracket has bracket legs connected by a stay. The clamping member is positioned between the bracket legs. The pivot bolt is supported on the bracket leg ends. The stay of the U-shaped bracket forms the clamping surface.

  • Patent number: 9107352
Abstract: A blade for a furrow cutter has a planar fastening region which is located in a fastening plane. The blade is driven in rotation via a transmission arranged in a transmission housing. The fastening plans separates a first region of the furrow cutter from a second region of the furrow cutter. The transmission is arranged in the first region. The blade has at least one arm projecting from the fastening region and having a free end. The arm has a first segment which extends out of the fastening plane into the second region. A simple structure, a good cutting result and a high service life are achieved when the arm has a second segment in which the arm extends back in the direction of the fastening plane.

  • Patent number: 9101201
Abstract: In an arrangement of a power tool and a carrying system, the carrying system has a support strap and a releasable fastening device for attaching the power tool to the support strap. The carrying system has an actuating device that actuates the releasable fastening device from a fastening position into a release position. The fastening device has a pivotable hook that in the fastening position is hooked to an eye and secures the power tool on the carrying system. When the carrying system is arranged on a user and the power tool is secured on the carrying system and the fastening device is actuated from the fastening position into the release position, the hook is pivoted such that the eye slides out of the hook because of the weight of the power tool.

  • Patent number: 6851403
Abstract: A valve drive having a rocker arm mounted on a cylinder head is provided. One end of the rocker arm is actuated by a push rod to actuate a valve stem of a poppet valve that engages the other end of the rocker arm, which is pivotably held between its ends on a support pin that extends into the cylinder head, with a spherical mounting being provided between the support pin and the rocker arm. Provided on that side of the rocker arm remote from the cylinder head is a bolt head for adjusting the bearing spacing between the rocker arm and the cylinder head for adjusting valve play. To prevent unintended adjustment of the bolt head, the latter cooperates with a rotation preventing element that has an arresting portion that engages the bolt head, and a support portion that conveys the adjustment moment away.
