  • Publication number: 20050005143
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and to a method for copy-protected and utilization-protected encryption and decryption, transmission and storage of electronic audio and video media, whereby the data contents of the electronic media are processed, modulated and encrypted in such a way that their complete playback or display requires the execution of cryptographic decryption processes at the recipient who is authorized within a certain scope of utilization, and that, already during the encryption, it is possible to dynamically define the extent by which the display and playback quality as well as the utilization possibilities will be diminished if such cryptographic decryption processes are not carried out.

  • Patent number: 6805089
Abstract: An intake device (1) for an internal combustion engine including a main body (2) and cover element (3; 20) which are securely connected to one another. Main body (2) and cover element (3) form intake pipes (4, 5, 6, 7) of in intake manifold. The cover element (3; 20) includes a plurality of individual shells (14, 15, 16, 17; 24, 25, 26, 27), which are connected to one another. Each individual shell (14, 15, 16, 17; 24, 25, 26, 27) forms a wall section of a respective intake pipe (4, 5, 6, 7) of the intake device (1). A flexible connection element (22) is arranged between two successively adjacent individual shells (25, 26) to compensate for tolerances between the cover element (3) and the main body (2).

  • Patent number: 6517794
Abstract: A method for removing nitrogen oxides from a lean flue gas. The method is carried out by: a) treating the flue gas in an electrical gas discharge, b) passing the thus treated flue gas over a basic storage material to store the nitrogen oxides in the form of nitrates and release of the treated flue gas to the environment, and c) regeneration of the storage material after depletion of its storage capacity by removing the storage material from the flue gas stream and treating it was a reducing regenerative gas stream while forming ammonia.

  • Patent number: 6445157
Abstract: A method of operating an electric three-phase machine with a polyphase winding arrangement in a vehicle. The phases of the winding arrangement are connected to a vehicle network with the aid of power converters and the winding arrangements are interconnected in a first method of connection for motor operation and interconnected in a second method of connection for generator operation. Switching over from one method of connection to the other is performed at an instant at which the three-phase machine changes from the state of picking up torque to outputting torque, or from the state of outputting torque to picking up torque.

  • Patent number: 6334986
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the selective catalytic reduction of the nitrogen oxides contained in a lean exhaust gas from internal combustion engines by reducing the nitrogen oxides by means of ammonia on a catalyst. The process is characterized in that, in addition to the lean exhaust gas, a rich gas stream is produced that is treated in an electrical gas discharge plasma in order to form the ammonia required for the reduction.

  • Patent number: 6192852
Abstract: A crankcase for an internal-combustion engine is constructed with a crankcase top and bottom sections made of a light-metal material. Bearing points for a crankshaft and at least one cylinder space are provided. In the region of the bearing points for the crankshaft, respective parts are cast into the crankcase bottom and top sections. The cast-in parts are constructed of a material with a higher modulus of elasticity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than the light metal material for the crankcase bottom and top sections.
