  • Publication number: 20230150557
Abstract: A method and a system are provided for data management in a transport device, in particular in a train. In a first comparison, a first count value stored in a first control device is compared with a count value stored in a second control device. In a second comparison, a count value selected from the first and second count values on the basis of a result of the first comparison is compared with a control count value stored in a safety device. On the basis of a result of the second comparison, control data stored in the safety device and associated with the control count value are acquired by the first or second control device.

  • Patent number: 9380363
Abstract: A network node, which is designed for switching of time-division multiplex signals; contains a number of line cards (LCI-LCn), a switch fabric (SF) interconnecting the line cards (LCI-LCn), and a control system (CS). The switching fabric (SF) is a cell based switch with one or more switch modules (SET-SEn) adapted to switch cells of a predefined cell format on the basis of addresses contained in cell headers of the cells. The line cards (LCI-LCn) have segmentation and reassembly devices (SARI-SARn) for segmenting input time-division multiplex signals into cells of the preformed cell format and adding address information to each cell and for reassembling cells received from said switch fabric (SF) into output time-division multiplex signals. The control system (CS) is connected to a switched port of the switch fabric (SF) and exchanges with the line cards (LCI-LCn) control and/or Operation, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) messages over the switch fabric (SF) using cells of the preformed cell format.

  • Publication number: 20140270754
Abstract: A delay measurement method of a path (P) or path segment through a transport network and a corresponding network nodes (NE1, NE2) for performing the delay measurement are described, which provide a higher precision and lower jitter. An originating network node (NE1) inserts a delay measurement request signal (REQ) into an overhead subfield of a first data unit and transmits the first data unit over the path (P) or path segment to a far-end network node (NE2) as part of framed transport signals. The far-end network node (NE2), upon detection of the delay measurement request (REQ), inserts a delay measurement reply signal (REP) into on overhead subfield of a second data unit and transmits the second data unit back to the originating network node (NE1) using framed transport signals in reverse direction. The originating network node (NE1) determines a time difference between insertion of the delay measurement request signal (REQ) and receipt of the delay measurement reply signal (REP).

  • Patent number: 7492774
Abstract: A heterogeneous network consists of an OTN-type sub-network and an SDH type sub-network. The sub-networks are interconnected by an interconnection node network element (NE) which has a first interface (O1-On) connected to OTN-type sub-network (OTN) and a second interface (S1-Sn) connected the SDH-type sub-network (SDH). Management information messages from the data communication channels of received SDH signals and management information messages from the general communication channels of received OTN signals are extracted in the corresponding interfaces. All messages are then fed via a LAN to a common routing engine (R), which routes the management information messages between the OTN and SDH sub-networks.

  • Patent number: 7394759
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of negotiating an active or a passive role assignment to a first and a second control means of a network element. The control means are redundant and operate dependent on their respective active or passive role. The invention furthermore relates to a control means therefor, a program module for a control means therefor and a network element therefor. The method comprises the steps of: determining an operability state parameter for each of said control means dependent on their respective ability to perform their respective functionality; mutually transmitting said operability state parameters between said control means; and determining an active role or a passive role by said control means dependent on said respective operability state parameters.
