  • Patent number: 7324472
Abstract: A transmission method is provided whereby data of different classes are transmitted and different reliability positions exist, with the bits of the different classes being mapped to respective reliability positions.

  • Patent number: 7249303
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of an ARQ method, especially a hybrid-ARQ-method, in order to carry out a reliable packet orientation data transfer, preferably, using a mobile radio system. When requesting a transmission data packet for the bits of the retransmission data packet, a different rate adaptation model is used in comparison with the bits corresponding originally sent data packets. A particular advantage of the present method is that the bit-rate adaptation is carried out by dividing the bits which are to be transferred into a number of partial bit flows with respectively separate bit rate adaptation.

  • Patent number: 7236466
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for power reduction and to a communications system, in particular a radio communications system, which allows such a method. The method for data transmission in a radio communications system having a radio interface between at least one, and in particular a large number of, base stations and at least one, and in particular a large number of, subscriber stations, in which one base station can in each case be connected via a radio interface to a number of subscriber stations provides redundantly coded data which, for the connection with at least one first transmission power level, is transmitted such that data loss is accepted. A chosen portion of the coded data is omitted during the transmission, and the transmission power level is, in contrast, chosen to be higher than the first transmission power level, such that the bit error probability is sufficiently low to allow the data to be reconstructed at the receiving station.

  • Patent number: 7142584
Abstract: A method for synchronizing a base station to a mobile station includes transmitting a signal sequence K(i) of length n from the base station to the mobile station. The signal sequence K(i) is formed by repeating a second signal sequence element K2(k) of length n2 n1 times. The second signal sequence is modulated with a first signal sequence element K1(j) of length n1. In the method, n1 is equal to n2 and i, j and k are integers.

  • Patent number: 7082565
Abstract: In order to match the bit rate in a communication device, the bits of a bit stream are punctured or repeated, in which case for each bit an updated error value is calculated on the basis of a previously determined error value and an update parameter and a judgment is made on the basis of the updated error value as to whether the corresponding bit is to be punctured or repeated or not. A variable, bit-specific update parameter is used to determine the updated error value of each bit, such that it is possible to achieve a non-uniform puncturing/repetition density.

  • Patent number: 7062002
Abstract: Method for forming and determining a signal sequence, a synchronization method, a transmitting unit and a receiving unit, including the formation of signal sequences that are based on partial signal sequences, the second partial signal sequence being repeated and modulated in the process by the first partial signal sequence, and at least one of the signal sequences being a Golay sequence, and use of these partial signal sequences for the purpose of simplified calculation of correlation sums in a two-stage calculation method, with one partial correlation sum sequence being calculated first.

  • Patent number: 6944210
Abstract: A method for receiving or transmitting messages wherein the use of shortened spreading codes, especially in the paging channel, for the purpose of correlation in the reception of CDMA signals, provides for power-saving measures such as, for example, the intermittent turn-off of A/D converters or correlators and to preserve the orthogonality of the spreading codes, the spreading codes used are selected in such a manner that, if possible, they do not correlate with the paging channel spreading code.

  • Patent number: 6288331
Abstract: A cable duct formed by cable troughs, an elevator cable duct and corresponding covers. The elevator cable duct has props and supports arranged thereon which extend in the longitudinal direction of the cable duct as well as plastic troughs which can be aligned next to each other, thereby forming a cable duct. The troughs have recesses on the outside which can be reversed-drawn above the support, where the troughs can be locked in positive fit or by frictional engagement. The recesses are deep enough to enable the support to lie inside the sleeve of the troughs when the troughs are mounted. The support is insulated from the outside by aprons. A longitudinally displaceable cover, which can be fixed to the trough, is located on top of the trough.
