  • Patent number: 7112682
Abstract: An improved process for the preparation of N-amino nitrogen heterocyclic compounds is disclosed and claimed. In an embodiment of this invention, a compound of the formula (VI) is prepared starting from the corresponding indole derivative by way of N-amination and subsequently forming an hydrazone by the reaction with a keto compound in a single step. Further reduction of the hydrazone and subsequent coupling with a pyridine compound affords the compound of formula VI or a suitable salt thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2004
Date of Patent: September 26, 2006
    Assignee: Aventis Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Inventors: Franz Weiberth, George Everett Lee, Reda G. Hanna, Juergen Mueller-Lehar, Silke Dubberke, Roland Utz
  • Patent number: 6916934
Abstract: The present invention relates to an efficient process for preparing derivatives of 1-(pyridinyl)-1,1-dialkoxy-2-aminoethane of the formula (I), with which compounds of the formula (I) can be prepared in high purity and yield and in the form of the free base without isolating the acetylpyridine oxime of the formula (XI) which is a critical product from a safety point of view as a solid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 26, 2004
Date of Patent: July 12, 2005
    Assignee: Aventis Pharma Deutschland GmbH
Inventors: Hans-Wolfram Flemming, Gerhard Korb, Juergen Mueller-Lehar, Walter Weber
