Abstract: A trigger pump dispenser comprises a body, an outlet nozzle, a pump chamber, a piston for defining a variable volume in the pump chamber, a trigger coupled with the piston by interconnection means, and biasing means for biasing the trigger to a retracted position. The trigger is movable to cause the piston to pump liquid into and out of the pump chamber for dispensing through the outlet nozzle. The piston is interchangeably associatable with the trigger and the pump chamber so that different length pistons are usable to determine different maximum fill volumes of the pump chamber.

Abstract: A trigger pump dispenser comprises an outlet valve which is adapted to open an outlet port when a pump chamber decreases in volume as liquid therein is dispensed through the outlet port, and which is adapted to close when the pump chamber increases in volume. The outlet valve comprises a precompression valve operable to allow liquid through the outlet only after a predetermined elevated pressure is established in the pump chamber. The valve has a movable valve member carried on or by a spring member which biases the valve member to a closed position but flexes in response to the elevated pressure in the chamber acting on the valve member to move the valve member to an open position so that liquid can pass from the chamber and thereafter be dispensed through an outlet nozzle.

Abstract: A trigger pump dispenser has a dispensing passage, an outlet nozzle movable between an “on” position and an “off” position, and a shroud. First and second indicator tabs project from the outlet nozzle and correspond with first and second indicator windows in the shroud. When the outlet nozzle is in the “on” position, the first indicator tab resides in the first indicator window and the second indicator tab is hidden by the shroud, and when the outlet nozzle is in the “off” position, the second indicator tab resides in the second indicator window and the first indicator tab is hidden by the shroud.

Abstract: A child resistant dispensing closure 1 having a smooth external surface. The closure 1 comprises a body 2 and a lid 3, connected together by a hinge 5. The lid 3 is held closed against the body 2 by a catch 6. The closure 1 has a resilient ring 4 which in its deformed configuration co-operates with the catch 6 to unlock it and provides a lifting region 65, by which a user may lift the lid 3 of the closure 1.

Abstract: A child resistant container assembly includes a container and a child resistant flip-top type closure that is secured onto the container. The flip-top type closure includes a main closure body having internal threading that is engaged with external threading that is provided on a neck portion of the container. A dispensing orifice is provided in the main closure body for dispensing a substance, such as detergent, from the container. Retention structure is provided for deterring removal of the closure main body from the container after the closure main body has been screwed onto the container. A lid member is hingedly mounted to the closure main body for movement between a first, closed position that covers the orifice and a second, open position wherein the dispensing orifice is uncovered and the substance within the container may be freely dispensed.
