At least one part of the first coolant stream leaving the deep-freeze unit is sent as at least part of the second coolant stream to the precooler, and at least another part of the first coolant stream leaving the deep-freeze unit is used with at least one part of the second coolant stream leaving the precooler to vaporize the condensed gas is vaporized and is vaporized. The part of the first coolant stream used to vaporize the condensed gas may be the part leaving the deep-freeze sent to the precooler.

The damping characteristic of the damping circuit is selected such that the damping only becomes operative above a preestablished reference voltage threshold1 value. In this manner, it is achieved that a useful signal is not weakened by the damping circuit, but rather resonance voltages are damped only above the threshold value. It is advantageous if each of the users of the bus system has assigned to it a damping circuit.

A measurement cable leading to the display or measurement unit is built up coaxially and connected with a terminal element which is a supporting component and contains the electrode and the edge of the opening in the capsule. In addition, the terminal includes an outer connecting element in the shape of a hollow cone which extends to the edge of the opening and an inner connecting element in the shape of a cone that extends to the electrode, which are coaxially arranged, the ratio of whose diameters d.sub.a /d.sub.i is constant, and which have the characteristic impedance of the measuring cable.
