  • Patent number: 6575815
Abstract: In a process and device for calibrating throttle bores, in particular in injection valves for internal combustion engines, by means of hydroerosive machining of the throttle bore with a suspension, the actual through flow is compared to a predetermined reference through flow. When the actual—and reference through flows coincide, the hydroerosive machining is brought to an end. On the outflow side of the throttle bore, a counterpressure is built up, which prevents the cavitation of the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20030038117
Abstract: A method for producing bores in workpieces of electrically conductive material, in particular injection ports (11) in injection nozzles (10) is disclosed, in which method, by means of an erosion wire (12) forming an electrode, material in the workpiece forming the counterelectrode is removed in a targeted way by spark erosion. To produce bores of different cross-sectional shapes and/or a varying cross-sectional area over the length of the hole, the erosion wire (12) is actively excited to a defined vibration, and the form of vibration is established by targeted variation of the vibration excitation in accordance with the desired bore hole shape. A preferred apparatus for performing the method has a fastening unit (13), which receives the end (122) of the erosion wire (12) and which is driven by two actuators (14, 15) to execute a separate oscillating displacement along an x axis and a y axis (FIG. 1).

  • Publication number: 20020061404
Abstract: Aluminum-doped precipitated silicas having a BET surface area of more than 300 m2/g and aluminum distributed uniformly in the silica particles are prepared by sequentially heating a mixture of water and sodium silicate at a temperature of from 70 to 86° C. and adding sulfuric acid until half of the sodium silicate is neutralized, then aging the mixture for a time of from 30 to 120 minutes, adjusting the pH of the mixture with sulfuric acid to a range of from 3.0 to 7.0, thereby precipitating the aluminum-doped silica, filtering the aluminum-doped silica from the mixture to form a filtercake and washing the filtercake, followed by drying and/or grinding the washed filtercake. An aluminum salt solution is metered into the mixture at step a) and/or step c). The aluminum-doped precipitated silicas of the present invention may be used in coatings for paper and other media intended for ink jet printing.

  • Patent number: 6296199
Abstract: A fuel-injection valve, in particular, a high-pressure injection valve, for injecting fuel directly into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supplied ignition is distinguished by the fact that a guide and seating area formed by three disc-shaped elements is provided at a downstream end of the valve. A swirl element is embedded between a guide element and a valve seat element. The guide element is used to guide a valve needle which passes through it and can move in the axial direction, while a valve closing segment of the valve interacts with a valve seat surface of the valve seat element. The swirl element has an inner opening area with multiple swirl channels. The three disc-shaped elements are permanently connected to each other, forming a positive-locking joint.

  • Patent number: 5951666
Abstract: The bus system (2) for the transfer of data within a master-slave system (1) comprises a parallel data bus (3) and a serial data bus (4, 5), as well as at least one control line (15, 16) for a control signal (SnP, RnW) determining the manner of transfer, wherein each slave (S.sub.1 . . . n) can be connected to a data bus (3; 4, 5) corresponding to its interface (SIF.sub.p, SIF.sub.S) and can be controlled with respect to the manner of transfer. Upon the transfer of both serial data (SD) and parallel data (PD) with the addressing of the or each slave (Sn), a first control signal (serial, not parallel) for the type of transfer is set before a strobe signal (STRB) for the transfer of data is activated. For the determining of a write or read access, a further control signal (RnW) for the direction of transfer (read, not write) is set.
