  • Patent number: 9188559
Abstract: The invention relates to a test method for nozzles composed of ceramic or ceramic-like materials, in which the following method steps are carried out: transfer of ultrasonic vibration to the nozzle by means of a sonotrode placed against the nozzle and thermographic evaluation of the heat evolved in a wall of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 7175109
Abstract: A double-swirl spray nozzle includes two swirl chambers which are connected to a common supply channel which extends in a central plane between the swirl chambers. Both swirl chambers have outlet openings which open outwardly from the supply channel to the same side. The axes of the swirl chambers are furthermore inclined at an angle with respect to one another. Thus with one single compact spray nozzle it is possible to create atomizing cones with a very large impact area which mutually overlap on the side facing one another and in spite of the speed component unidirected in the overlapping area result in a secondary division of the liquid droplets in the two atomizing cones, which increases the efficiency when the nozzle is utilized in so-called gas washers for cleaning purposes.

  • Patent number: 6911170
Abstract: A method and a mold used with this method for manufacturing cast spray diffusers is described in which, in order to prevent an expensive reworking of important corners and edges, the molded parts are formed is such a way that mold parting planes are moved out of these critical areas. In particular, the transitional area between a rotationally symmetric swirl chamber of a spray diffuser in the narrow mouthpiece channel and the outlet edge of the mouthpiece are each placed in one-piece molded parts that abut against these adjacent molded parts outside these areas.

  • Patent number: 6772960
Abstract: A double-swirl spraying nozzle has two swirl chambers which are open toward opposite sides and are in each case arranged on respective sides of a longitudinal center plane extending through the inflow duct and are preferably designed mirror-symmetrically with respect to the center axis of the inflow duct. This design makes it possible for the medium to enter without any cross-sectional constrictions into the two swirl chambers and to exit with a different swirl in opposite directions.
