  • Publication number: 20240288223
Abstract: A heat exchanger for indirectly transferring heat between a process medium and at least one first refrigerant, comprising: a shell which surrounds a shell space and extends along a longitudinal axis; and a pipe bundle which is disposed in the shell space and extends along the longitudinal axis of the shell from a lower end to an upper of the pipe bundle in the shell space; wherein; the pipe bundle has a plurality of first pipes for receiving the first refrigerant; the first pipes are wound helically onto a core pipe of the heat exchanger. According to the invention, the first pipes each have an end which is formed by at least one nozzle via which the first refrigerant can be introduced into the shell space, the ends being disposed along the longitudinal axis of the shell at different heights.

  • Publication number: 20240240867
Abstract: A wound heat exchanger, comprising a shell, a bundle of tubes arranged inside the shell and through which a medium can flow, a first annular channel arranged inside the shell and runs around it for separating a liquid phase of a refrigerant from a gaseous phase of the refrigerant, a second annular channel arranged inside the shell and runs around it and is intended for evenly distributing the liquid phase over the bundle of tubes in order to exchange the heat between the refrigerant and the medium, and a connecting channel which establishes a fluid connection between the first annular channel and the second annular channel in order to conduct the liquid phase out of the first annular channel into the second annular channel, wherein the first annular channel and the second annular channel are spaced apart.

  • Patent number: 11236945
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a core tube extending in a shell space, several tubes wound around the core tube, and a liquid distributor. The liquid distributor is arranged above the tubes in the shell space and applies a liquid phase of a first medium to the tubes. The liquid distributor has distributor arms projecting in the radial direction from the core tube, an annular channel extending above the distributor arms in a circumferential direction of the shell and a collector tank formed by the core tube. The annular channel and the collector tank are each designed to collect the first medium. The distributor arms form at least one first container and at least one second container separated from the first container.

  • Publication number: 20200318912
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger (1), comprising: a shell (2) surrounding a shell space (3) of the heat exchanger (1), wherein the shell space (3) is designed to receive a fluid first medium (M); a core tube (4) extending in the shell space (3); a tube bundle (5) having several tubes (50) wound around the core tube (4), wherein the tube bundle (5) is designed to receive at least one fluid second medium (M?) so that heat can be transferred indirectly between the first medium (M) and the at least one second medium (M?); and a liquid distributor (6), arranged above the tube bundle (5) in the shell space (3), for applying a liquid phase (F) of the first medium (M) to the tube bundle (5), wherein the liquid distributor (6) has distributor arms (60) projecting in the radial direction (R) from the core tube (3); an annular channel (61) extending above the distributor arms (60) in a circumferential direction (U) of the shell (2), and a collector tank (62) formed by the core tube (4), wherein the annular chan

  • Publication number: 20150285561
Abstract: A helically coiled heat exchanger with a plurality of inlets each connected to at least one assigned tube defining a heating surface of the heat exchanger and having at least one changeover means to switch the inlet between a first operating state and a second operating state. In the first operating state, a stream of a first medium and, in the second operating state, a stream of a second medium is introduced via the inlet into the assigned tube. In the first operating state more heating surface is available to the stream of the first medium and correspondingly less heating surface is available to the stream of the second medium. In the second operating state more heating surface is available to the stream of the second medium and correspondingly less heating surface is available to the stream of the first medium.
