  • Patent number: 10726978
Abstract: A feed-through for high external pressure applications and methods of producing are provided. The feed-through includes a base body, a through-hole extending through the base body, and a functional element. The functional element is arranged inside the through-hole. The functional element is connected to the base body in fluid-tight manner with a pressure compensator and an insulating material that at least partially surrounds the functional element and establishes the fluid-tight connection. The pressure compensator increases pressure resistance of the fluid-tight connection of the functional element to the base body against pressure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 24, 2018
Date of Patent: July 28, 2020
    Assignee: SCHOTT AG
    Inventors: Jürgen Suttner, Thomas Fink

  • Patent number: 9413152
Abstract: A feed-through is provided that includes a flange and a first functional component. The flange has a through-opening in which the first functional component is arranged and is connected to the flange such that the through-opening is sealed. The first functional component has at least one deformation region, in which a recess is provided such that the mechanical stability of the first functional component is reduced in the deformation region. In this manner, the first functional element can be deformed in the deformation area when mechanical load is applied.

  • Patent number: 8367935
Abstract: A power connection device, in particular for power connections of safety containers, is provided. To improve the operational safety, the power connection device includes two cascaded current feedthroughs, whereby the electrical connections between the conductors of the feedthrough are arranged in conduits of reduced volume so that the interstices between the conductors are at least partially filled.

  • Patent number: 8133068
Abstract: A current connection apparatus for a pressure tank is provided. The current connection apparatus includes a tank flange mounted on a tank and an opening that leads into the tank. Electrical connection cables are installed in this opening for connecting with an external electrical apparatus. An electrical lead having one or more conductors, which are electrically insulated relative to a metal flange, and a protective casing. The electrical lead is disposed between the tank flange and the protective casing and is tightly fastened to the tank flange. A plug body, which has plug elements corresponding to conductors of electrical lead, is inserted into the tank opening in the tank flange. The protective casing also has a plug body inserted therein, where the plug body has plug elements.
