  • Publication number: 20040027382
Abstract: A method is for triggering an action relating to a data object, which contains data as a result of the performance of a drag&drop operation in a software application. A data processing device includes the software application. In the course of the drag&drop operation, upon initiation of the loading of a selected source data object containing data into the software application, the compatibility of the data in the source data object and at least one of the data supported by the software application and data in at least one data object already existing in the software application can be taken as a basis for triggering an action relating to at least one of the source data object and to the existing data object.

  • Patent number: 6044125
Abstract: In a method for the post-processing of a tomogram, and a computed tomography apparatus operating according to this method, a universal computer is employed for post-processing of a reconstructed tomogram of a slice of an examination subject, the tomogram representing the entire field of measurement of the computed tomography apparatus or a segment of the field of measurement. The post-processing employs an adaptive ring suppression filter, in which the pixel values of a region comprising the entire tomogram or a part of the tomogram are subjected to, among other things, one or more median filterings, and an averaging, with the median filterings and the averaging take place along a number of directions of execution, and the calculation of the pixel values of the region takes place so that the pixel values of successive pixels in the each processing direction are calculated successively.

  • Patent number: 5802135
Abstract: An arithmetic unit for a computed tomography apparatus has special hardware in the form of a processor, a median filter ASIC, an angle clipping ASIC and two memories are employed. In the median filter ASIC, for each pixel a determination of increments for generating a supporting point address are made by the processor, the access addresses are calculated and the supporting points are addressed from a first of the memories and a median value formation is undertaken in the median filter ASIC, followed by a difference image production in the median filter ASIC. In the angle clipping ASIC, a determination is made of the coordinates of each pixel with reference to a rotational center in the processor, and supporting points are generated and accumulated from the difference image resulting from the median filtering, and a resultant image is generated in the angle clipping ASIC.

  • Patent number: 5781605
Abstract: In a computed tomography apparatus with a volume reconstruction by a three-dimensional gridding algorithm an arithmetic unit and method for operating same are provided for efficiently implementing the three-dimensional gridding algorithm. In this arithmetic unit and method, randomly-distributed supporting points SP are weighted in the frequency space in order to be able to apply a 3D gridding algorithm for a three-dimensional Fourier reconstruction for a computed tomography apparatus. An ASIC is provided wherein the supporting point weighting and the 3D gridding algorithm are efficiently implemented.

  • Patent number: 5703920
Abstract: A computed tomography apparatus which generates an image of an examined subject using Fourier reconstruction with a gridding algorithm operates so that this algorithm is efficiently implemented by employing a hardware unit in the form of an ASIC, which produces the additional formation of contributions in the Cartesian frequency matrix, derived from the polar support points.
