  • Publication number: 20240159179
Abstract: An exhaust gas aftertreatment (EAT) system for receiving exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine has a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) upstream and in close proximity to a diesel particulate filter (DPF). A pressure differential sensor is configured to measure a pressure differential across the DOC and the DPF between a first measurement position upstream of the DOC and a second measurement position downstream of the DPF. A method of operating the EAT system includes using a mathematical model to determine a pressure drop occurring in the system between the first and second measurement positions outside of the DPF. The modelled pressure drop is used together with a measured pressure drop to derive a value for the pressure drop across the DPF itself for use in a model to determine the soot loading of the DPF.

  • Patent number: 11234195
Abstract: A radio transceiver comprises one or more hardware resources, e.g. a processor; memory; a peripheral device; an algorithmic hardware accelerator; and/or a radio frequency component. A cellular communication radio is operable in an active mode in which it has access to the one or more hardware resources for transmitting and/or receiving cellular communication signals, and an inactive mode in which it does not. A global navigation satellite systems radio, arranged to use the one or more hardware resources to receive positioning signals, has access to the one or more hardware resources only when the cellular communication radio is operated in the inactive mode.

  • Publication number: 20020180744
Abstract: The invention refers to a method for updating an integrated display frame buffer of a display module in a mobile electronic device, comprising a local frame buffer and a processor, comprising the steps of transferring display information to said local frame buffer, updating said display frame buffer by transferring said display information from said local frame buffer to said display frame buffer, and displaying said display information on said display module. Furthermore, the invention comprises the additional steps of detecting changes of said display information stored in said local frame buffer, and updating said display frame buffer when a change of said display information in said local frame buffer is detected.

  • Patent number: 5898697
Abstract: An arrangement for determining transmission delay in a subscriber network which has a plurality of subscriber sets, a plurality of subscriber terminals (to one subscriber terminals to one subscriber terminal being connected at least one subscriber set by a transmission connection implemented in an electrical form), and a central unit, which is common to the several subscriber terminals and connects the subscriber sets to a public switched telephone network. In the subscriber network, time-division data transmission between the several subscriber terminals and the central unit occurs along a common transmission path. A value representing the transmission delay between the central unit and an individual subscriber terminal is determined, whereby a transmission of a subscriber terminal towards the central unit is synchronized in he subscriber terminal with the frame structure of a signal to be transmitted from the central unit towards the subscriber terminal.

  • Patent number: 5805093
Abstract: The invention relates to an oversampled high-order modulator, especially a sigma-delta modulator, comprising cascaded integrators in a number corresponding to the order of the modulator, a quantizer, and a negative feedback. The problem with the high-order modulator is that the modulator is locked in an unstable mode from which it should be restored without considerably interfering with the operation of the modulator. The invention achieves this by temporarily changing the value of the negative feedback to a direction which will restore the stable operation.

  • Patent number: 5754555
Abstract: A subscriber network arrangement for connecting several subscribers to a telephone network, in which the subscriber network includes (a) several subscriber sets and, (b) several subscriber terminals. To one subscriber terminal is connected at least one subscriber set by use of a transmission connection implemented in an electrical form. The network further includes (c) a central unit common to the several subscriber terminals, whereby a time-division data transmission between the several subscriber terminals and the central unit occurs along a common transmission path. To be able to construct the network at costs as low as possible by utilizing the existing transmission capacity as efficiently as possible, a message transmission channel common to all subscriber terminals of the central unit is formed in the same transmission frame as actual payload data in both transmission directions on the common transmission path between the central unit and the subscriber terminals.
