  • Publication number: 20100222067
Abstract: A set of specific sequences including a set of root sequences and cyclic shifts thereof is searched, wherein it is started from a root sequence index indicating a root sequence of ordered root sequences, available cyclic shifts of the root sequence are included, and it is continued with a next root sequence if necessary for filling the set, interpreting the ordered root sequences in a cyclic manner.

  • Publication number: 20080205433
Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting a message comprising one or more preambles and a message body from a user equipment device to a network entity. The method includes determining whether it is allowed to transmit a first preamble of the message to the network entity in an immediately available time slot of a random access channel, transmitting the first preamble if it is allowed, and transmitting the message body if a positive acknowledgement to the preamble is received from the network entity on another channel. The user equipment device may determine transmitting the preamble invariably, based on a persistence value or an indication received from the network entity, based on whether the device has not transmitted on the random access channel for longer than a predetermined, or based on whether the device has not transmitted on the random access channel for longer than a random time period.

  • Publication number: 20070206531
Abstract: A random access procedure for use by a UE wireless communication terminal in communicating with a base station (or Node-B or eNB) of a radio access network, and in particular a E-UTRA network. A random access preamble is sent by the UE via RACH separate and prior to a random access message burst, which is sent on SCH but not until the UE receives one or more messages indicating an acknowledgment of the preamble and providing an allocation on SCH for use in transmitting the message burst, and also providing a preamble identifier, which the radio access network can then use to request retransmission of the message burst if necessary.

  • Patent number: 6971506
Abstract: The invention relates to a test tube carrier (4) for transporting test tubes in a transport system, said carrier (4) comprising a base (8) having a recess made thereto for accommodating the bottom of a test tube/vial (1), and support members (9, 10) adapted to the carrier base (8) for clamping a test tube (1) inserted in said recess and supporting the same. The support members (9, 10) are permanently affixed to said carrier base (8) and comprise elongated portions with their free ends bent toward the vertical center axis of the carrier base and said upper ends providing a support surface (22) for making supportive contact to the test tube. The bottom of the carrier base recess for accommodating a test tube is advantageously made flat and the carrier base is provided with test tube support members whose support surfaces (22) extend to at least two different heights from the top level of the carrier base (8).

  • Patent number: 6694141
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of channel allocation in a fixed radio link network. For each radio link to be commissioned channels, interference level measurement on each available channel of the frequency band is carried out. Based on the interference measurements, best transmission and reception channel for the link are selected. Thereafter, the radio link can be commissioned and measurements in the next radio link to be commissioned can be started. Instead of using a fixed and pre-set channel for the fixed radio link, a channel is assigned autonomously and automatically when commissioning the link, depending on interference measurement results and/or distance measurement results. The possibility for automatic channel selection decreases the amount of commissioning work by removing the need for detailed frequency planning and fixed channel setting at the factory for each radio.

  • Patent number: 6520313
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement and method for transporting test tubes (1) automatically between different processing stages and equipment in laboratories. In the method, the test tubes (1) are placed on transport bases (3) for transportation within the system and the identification data of the test tube (1) is read to identify the sample, after which the transport bases (3) can be moved within the transportation system with the aid of conveyors (15-18)to operation stations, for operations to be carried out on the test tube (1) or sample. • Patent number: 6487410
Abstract: The invention relates to a handover method and a method for selecting a base station for connecting a multimode terminal (PP/MS) in a mobile communication system which consists of at least one first base station (BTS) and at least one second base station (FRP) controlled by a MSC, and multimode terminal (PP/MS). The handover method comprises recognizing the poor radio connection between the serving second base station (RFP) and the multimode terminal (PP/MS), selecting one of the first base station (BTS) as the target cell for handover on the basis of the measurements carried out in the multimode terminal (PP/MS), and performing the handover.
