The tip body comprises a first end (3) and a second end (4) having a flow opening (19). The tip body (6) is provided with a first optical grating structure (7) arranged to conduct light away from the tip body to the side of the inner surface (I). The tip body is provided with a receiving grating structure (8) arranged to receive light conducted away from the tip body through the first optical grating structure. The first end (3) comprises a light-receiving surface (9) optically connected through the tip body to the first optical grating structure. The first end (3) comprises a surface (10) that conducts light away and is optically connected through the tip body to said receiving optical grating structure (8).

Abstract: The present invention relates a substrate having corrugated sheet(s) and channel(s) for treating exhaust gases of combustion engines. The present invention also relates to methods for manufacturing and using said substrate having said open channel(s). The substrate (1) comprises at least one corrugated sheet (3) having depressions (3d) and one flat wire mesh sheet (2) having depressions (2d) which is connected to said corrugated sheet (3) and between said flat wire mesh sheet (2) and said corrugated sheet (3) there are at least partially open channels (POC) for exhaust gas (EG) flow, and the depth of depression (2d) of said flat wire mesh sheet (2) is 0.05-0.5 mm smaller than the height of the corrugation (3c) of said corrugated sheet (3).

Abstract: The invention relates to a metal net for use in gas treatment and an gas treatment equipment including this metal net and a method for cleaning exhaust gases of engines. The invention also relates to equipment for manufacturing such a metal net. The equipment according to the invention is particularly suitable as a catalyzer for small engines.
